Michael Jackson's Mom Receiving $86K Monthly from King of Pop's Estate

Michael Jackson's mother and the singer's three children are being well taken care of, financially speaking. Court documents released Thursday in Los Angeles show that Katherine Jackson is receiving $86,804 per month from her son's estate to support herself and her three grandchildren, PEOPLE reports. A judge approved the payments last month.

The documents state that Katherine, 79, had been financially dependent on her son during his life, and that for years, Michael had paid for all her living expenses at the Jackson family's Encino, Calif., home.

Lawyers for the singer's estate also estimated his total assets exceeds $500 million, and that future business agreements bearing Michael Jackson's name could generate "tens of millions of dollars."

Katherine Jackson has been named permanent guardian of the three grandchildren. All four are primary beneficiaries under the singer's will, including some unnamed charities.

IT IS NO ONE"S BUSINESS HOW MUCH MONEY MICHAEL JACKSON'S MOTHER IS RECEIVING. I AM GLAD HE HAD SENSE ENOUGH TO SET UP A TRUST SO HIS MOTHER AND CHILDREN CAN LIVE, I HOPE SHE LIVES A LONG TIME TO SEE THE CHILDREN GET GROWN.

Did you not read the art. estate assets worth more than 500 mill. And TMZ says that it is solvent. That is able to pay all debts. Did you really believe he was broke?

I would think Alestra has more sense than to spew her hatred for others well-living. Michael Jackson worked very very hard for his money. In fact, because he worked so hard his entire life afforded him a lavish lifestyle, I suggest to Alestra to go back to school and do something productive. I am sorry you and your husband are having a hard time, many people are in the same boat, but you seem to have access to the Internet so therefore, that leads me to believe you have money to spare. Nonetheless, Mrs. Katherine Jackson deserves to live well and her grandchildren.

Of course Queen Katherine would WANT HER GRANDCHILDREN!!!! Are you a parent or grandparent? If you are wouldn't you want your children/grandchildren? Furthermore, King Michael's WILL STATES if something happened to him, he desired the COURT to AWARD custody of his three children to HIS MOTHER. Queen Katherine NEEDS AMPLE MONEY to maintain a decent standard for herself and her grands. Your figure is out of whack. She is getting 26,000 a month, not that that is not an outrageous amount of money for 3 kids. It pays for drivers, guess no one in the family drives, and all other expenses...wow, and some people don't even live on 26,000 a year...
