Redmund O'Neal Trades Jail for Rehab

Redmund O'Neal will be freed from jail in order to go to rehab, RadarOnline.com reports.

The son of the late Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal will be treated for drug addiction, after being arrested for possession and then violating his parole. He pleaded no contest Friday in court.

The 24-year-old faced 4 years behind bars, but instead will spend one year in a treatment center. He also will be on three years probation and will face 6 years in jail if he violates his sentence.

Redmond O'Neil support group = Father: Ryan DRUG ADDICT, Half Sister and Half Brother: Drug Fiends, Grandparents: Almost Dead and Alcoholics, Friends: Drug Addicts, Hollywood Machine: Drug Fiends ... I hope someone befriends this young man that isnt a drug user or a "user of people" and that the people at the rehab facility help him understand the difference between drug and people users verses people that will help him. Given that he lives in Southern California, I give him a 1 in 10 million chance of recovery but we can all hope the best for him.

God can work amazing miracles in the hearts of those who love and trust in Him. Faith and prayer will get Redmond to a place that he can live a life of peace and hope. Not every single drug addict lives the rest of their short life on drugs, many have kicked it and are healthy and happy. Once a substance user stands in the power of the Holy Spirit and knows that amazing peace and joy it's clear no drug on earth can replicate it!

Why can't these "religious zelots" realize that it takes the people on earth to help people with addictions. Sure its nice to pray and we all like it when one gets on their knees and gives a "Lewinsky" but get real God needs people on earth to help people on earth. Redmund could be on his knees throughout rehab and stay there after but its not going to help at all if someone isnt there to lift him up and help him get a life that is clean and sober. People pray for angels to help others ... quit praying and be an "Angel".

I seriously have my doubts Redmund will stay clean and sober after his stint in rehab. He has lots of money from Farrah's estate and he is a drug addict. He is in the Hollywood scene and he has nothing to give to the world. He is locked in that Hollywood genre of living in a fog like so many other Hollywood stars and their kids do. Sad but watch and see. I wish Red would defy this and stay clean and sober. Not like a lot of addicts do when they take drugs but lie they don't.

I really hope Redmond has had enough. But at 24 years of age, facing the serious drug additions he has--heroin, speed. It's going to be so hard for him. I wish him well. And he should stay away from his loser father, Ryan, if he has a chance of making it.

The only way that he will make it is by the grace of God. I pray that he turns his life over to Christ before it is too late. The Devil aims to kill and destroy us, that is why we need Jesus's protection every minute of every day.I pray that Redmond will turn his life to Jesus and he will have as long as a life as God has given him. We all don't know how many minutes we have left.

Only 1 of Ryan's children Patrick has stayed away from drugs his mother brought him up right. he worked for Fox. plus Redmond wont get all his money he will only get so much a month out of it it will be put in a trust.

after many years in and out of alcohol programs, treatment centers,homelessness, jails, nut houses, people telling me who my friends are and aren't, what I can and can't do, who I am and am not, 20 years ago I finally tried the one thing that no one, in all their combined wisdom, ever bothered to tell me. Perhaps this young man and his father might benifit as well. Grow the F*** Up!
