There's Something About Jon: Secrets of Mr. Gosselin's Appeal

There is apparently something about Jon Gosselin. The reality star and father-of-eight turned international playboy has three attractive ladies reeling this week. We wanted to get to the bottom of the Gosselin X-factor, so we turned to experts to find the secrets to his appeal. >>>

We mentioned those women reeling. Examples: His former nanny Stephanie Santoro spilled all about her amorous hot tub tryst with Gosselin to In Touch magazine. She described Gosselin as "very romantic." Even though he wasn't the best lover she ever had he "wasn't awful."

>> Quick on Santoro's heels, Kate Major, the former Star magazine reporter who alleged she had a romantic relationship with Gosselin right after his split from wife Kate Gosselin told Showbiz Tonight that she now despises Jon, but she was once "in lust with him," before he left her in the dust. Lust used to be an emotion reserved for the Clooneys, Pitts and Damons of the world. Add Gosselin to the list.

>> And through it all Jon's current 22-year-old arm candy Hailey Glassman has remained by his side, taking to her Twitter this week to defend Jon and bash his estranged wife Kate. "I was never at Jon and Katezilla's house nor did I meet the children, And nor am I in a rush to..." she tweeted.

What is this animal magnetism that keeps the ladies so riled up?

"Jon Gosselin's appeal, besides the fact that he's the star of one of the biggest reality shows in the country, is that he's a smooth talker. We all know it isn't his six-pack!" Star magazine senior editor Suzanne Rozdeba tells PopEater. "He knows how to make a woman feel like she's the only one for him, and that he'll never leave her."

Rozdeba thinks Jon can play both the party boy bachelor and the dad who can manage it all, which keeps the ladies coming back. But she admits he could use the help of "a serious celebrity trainer."

It's not Gosselin's look that is luring women in, right?

"Jon Gosselin is definitively un-sexy," style and grooming expert Margaret Kelly of Lock & Mane tells PopEater. "He needs to focus on better grooming. Not only does he behave like a 15-year-old boy chasing after any woman who looks at him, but it seems like he takes care of his skin and hair like one too."

And the allure of Gosselin is even more confounding to men.

"I don't think the dude is necessarily gross, despite his getting fatter and fatter and insistence on constantly wearing t-shirts from colleges he probably didn't attend," says dude expert Ben Robinson, senior editor at Thrillist.com. "What is gross are any and all of the chicks he's been linked to or photographed with at college campuses, which I now realize must be where he gets all those shirts."

I don't think he is ugly by any means. He is rather handsome in a normal guy kind of way. In other words, he may not be movie star hot, but a guy like that would turn my head. Other than that he appears to be quite, chill, and level-headed. What guy doesn't act like they are 15 sometimes? Jon Gosselin got married very young and was thrown (along with Kate) headlong into this crazy life. They didn't do themselves any favors by being on TV, but it's too late to be a woulda shoulda. I think he is getting the rough end of the media attention because Kate is so vocal. Everyone deals with breakups and divorce differently. Jon chose to move on with his life. Seems to me though, his new girlfriend isn't much better than Kate though, with all her trash talking.

You can point out about all the women that like jon gosslin and if you notice they are young and dumb. They have dollar signs in their eyes. Thats all. Would he have so many women after him if he were just plain old jon with no money. I mean he doesn't like to work. They need to think about why would a man have 8 children on purpose and then decide he doesn't love their mother all of a sudden. What a wack job.

Jon Gosselin is an embarrassment to the entire human species. That anyone could find a selfish greedy fame-whoring adult who acts like he's two years old, cheats on his wife, never grew a pair to stand up for himself, and is setting a horrible example for his kids attractive is absolutely a loser as well. The only reason he's attracting any women at all is because he has money (thanks to exploiting his children to the maximum) and because he has some shred of fame, pathetic as it is. Nothing more. None of the women who have allegedly been with him seem to be the brightest bulbs in the package, Hailey has been in jail and Kate II quit her job to be with a man she barely knew during the worse recession ever. This man, and this article, are wholeheartedly dumb.

I still think that Jon is trying to be a bad boy, hoping that TLC cancels the show. Kate lives for the show, and the ultimate "smackdown" for her would be an end to the show and the noteriety. If she went from being a television commodity to a simple housewife with 8 kids, it would devestate her.

Kate has to work, Jon got fired from his job...and if this is the way she has to support them good for her. This man is not reliable, so Kate has to provide for them...at least she's not relying on the backs of the taxpayers to do it...and she's honest about it, she admits she has to work to take care of her kids. If she left it up to Jon they would all probably be homeless by now. I think Jon has proven how lazy he is.

Kate will have celebrity without jon, and it wouldn't matter to her if he got kicked off the show, it wouldn't mean the show would end. I think kate and eight would be a good show to watch, Or, maybe she can keep working with the view? or the new talk is her on paula dean show. she's got the looks, and films well. I can't wait for her to take off and become an A list celebrity while he flits around with his college girls, at least until they realize that he's {{gasp}} no longer a "celebrity". Kate will go on to become someone, take care of her kids, and do it with style. And jon? he'll be slithering through the gutters like the slug that he is.

Have you ever seen anyone with Down Syndrome? I find it very rude and offensive that you would say that. Do you know what DS LOOKS LIKE? ( It sure as hell isnt Jon Gosselin ) There are MANY MANY GOOD people with DS and they act better then Jon and Kate put together.
