The True Gifting Pro: AnnaLynne McCord showed up at both suites and worked them as if she was in another league. Not just a hardcore goods collector, she has fun with it as well. While most folks played the Guitar Hero set-up at HBO for like a half of a song at best, McCord worked the DJ Hero for at least two songs, throwing her hands in the air and bobbing her free hand as if it were a crowded club. At the Suite Life she hit every stand with her two sisters and gamely took most every picture imaginable with her goodies. Nonetheless she told Popeater: "this is work for me." Get me that job sister! The Shy Ones: Some celebs were not as keen to take on the press at the Suite Life. Mad Men's Christina Hendricks worked her way through in almost a lowkey disguise with sunglasses and a long jacket (on a blistering hot day). After spending serious time at Moods of Norway and Joe's Jeans, she made a hurried exit with fiance Trust Me star Geoffrey Arend to avoid the throng.
Celebs Who Need to Keep on Their Mother's Good Side: Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris said he was bringing a date to the Emmys. So how did he make it up to his mother for not being his +1? He brought her to the HBO lounge for some gifting. It seemed to do the trick. As NPH walked past the Celsius energy drink section he grabbed a few can saying, "I'm going to need all the energy I can get."The Really Shy Celebs: Why deal with the crowds and the press, when you can have an assistant pick up the goodies. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher sent theirs to pick up a veritable small truckload of goodies from the Suite Life site.
The En Masse Entrance: Seemed like the entire cast of Mad Men entered the HBO lounge at the same time. Michael Gladis proudly showed off the Tria beauty home laser hair removal kit ("It's for my Dad," he insisted) as Rich Sommer threw aside his geek tv onscreen persona by rocking out to "Juke Box Hero" on Guitar Hero 5 while Bryan Batt checked out the Camacho Cigars.
The Celeb Who Needs to Get a Room: Gifting suite makeout sessions are certainly not the norm. Bill Maher clearly didn't get that memo. Insider sources say the political comedian was all over his new (and much younger) girlfriend Kara during their suite-walk through. No sex in the free champagne room, Bill.
The Celebs Who Gave Back: Celebs who stopped by the CardsDirect section (complete with faux fireplace) of the HBO Lounge were able to endorse a line of holiday cards that will be on sale with all net proceeds going to the charity of their choice. Ricky Gervais was all about the ASPCA line of cards, but needed to support a photocard with a picture of a cat, to honor his new pet. Alas one wasn't available, but Gervais chose a photo card design to which he can upload his own cat photo come the holidays. A Starbucks-ice-coffee-sipping Tina Fey quickly opted to support Autism Speaks with a baby-blue and pink card set. Twilight's Kellan Lutz elected to support the The Royal Family Kid's Camp with his card set.- Filed under:

Discusting. All of theee people make more money in a week than most of us do in a year. They snatch up these expensive gifts like they had nothing. Shame on them and on the businesses that give them.

It really irritates me that these people who can well afford to buy these items are so greedy. I guess that they had better gather up all of the stuff they can get. When their buddy in the White House starts distributing wealth, hopefully they will be first on the list. I would imaging that the only wealth being redistributed will be Joe Taxpayer

I don't think that the celebs are being greedy when they pick up their goodies from these gifting lounges. Actually, on the contrary. Businesses pay a high price to have their products accessed directly by celebrities who can then market that product and help smaller and even handmade businesses turn their hobbies into a real job.
On an related note, I think that the greeting card gifts were a great idea. Everyone needs some Christmas or Thanksgiving cards to send to their loved ones!
