The Hoff's Ear Caused Medical Melee

Though initial reports claimed that 'Baywatch' star David Hasselhoff was admitted to a hospital Sunday after drinking heavily at home, The Hoff himself is saying that it was merely his ear that caused the medical emergency. Hasselhoff's camp tells TMZ that the actor was taking ear infection medications that clashed, causing him to become disoriented and sick.

TMZ initially reported that 17-year-old Hayley Hasselhoff called her mother Pamela for help, and an ambulance was used to retrieve Hasselhoff from his Encino home. His daughter Hayley famously filmed him falling-over drunk and eating from a plate on the floor in 2007, putting the footage on the Internet in an effort to shame him into changing his ways.

It's sad that this girl has to put up with this kind of garbage. The judge probably thought the Hoff needed someone to take care of him so he gave custody to him.

I would hate to come across a judge who would be that retarded. How old are you? To think that a judge would give this man custody so that his kids would take care of him is absolutely ridiculous.

I can understand the desperation of this young teen willing to go to any lengths, even public ridicle and humilation involving both HER and her dad, to mobilize him to seek the solution of recovery. We aren't priviledged to see the true pain this disease has caused his family and friends and totality of the aftermath of destruction for years to come.

Hasselhoff ought to be shelved. He is such a bad example to youth and a child abuser to his own child.
AGT should put him out to pasture and let him drink as much as he wants. He is obviously not serious about his recovery.

MOST of us have an alcoholic in the family. We too watched one of ours drink themselves to the end. Very sad.

This child is not the first nor the last to watch their parent ruin their life with alcohol. I watched several of my relatives, including my mother. Watching her go thru the DT's was a lot of fun, I had to hold onto her to keep her from falling out of the bed. When you have to become the parent you grow up fast, and you can never recover your childhood. It is sad that the young girl has to be subjected to this kind of behavior. I think the Hoff is cool, and am so sad to watch this. But until he decides to straighten up it is only going to get worse. I will pray that someone or something turns his life around soon.

it must be a ploy to producers to give him a script,or a series...in any event...the media makes drinking,look bad and un religious,and un moral...and make sure you don't drink and drive...because they will crucify you,especially if you cannot afford to pay to make it all go away..!...and ya..the kids are mostly a**holes..who seem to runthe household,i guess the parents are scared to diciplin them.i guess now the commissar and the feds are trying to bring back prohibition...good luck..if i can't buy it..i'll make it.

Absolutely right! I, myself, am a recovering alcoholic. I did not drink until I was 35 years old. I drank wine, never indulged in hard liquor, bar hopping, or doing shots. However, I was an alcoholic by the time I was 40 yrs. old. There is a strong history of alcoholism in my family, however, it was MY CHOICE to purchase the wine, open it, then drink it to excess. I DO NOT BELIEVE that alcoholism is a DISEASE!!! IT IS A CHOICE!!! It was only named a "disease" so that people could get help!!! Happily, I just celebrated 4 years of sobriety Sept. 12th!!!!
