Kate Gosselin Confirms Talk Show, PopEater Readers Aren't Digging It

Looks like Kate Gosselin's stint on 'The View' was just prep for her upcoming talk show series. Us Weekly confirms that Gosselin spent the weekend in Manhattan filming a pilot with Southern cooking belle Paula Deen. "I've been given the gift of gab, so why not use it?" Gosselin said at the Southern Women's Show in Charlotte, N.C.

But this might not be a good move for the 'Jon and Kate Plus 8' mom. When the initial talk show rumors swirled last week, PopEater readers admitted they weren't thrilled. When asked if they would watch the show, 66 percent of PopEater voters said 'No.' Furthermore, when questioned if they thought this was a good career move for Kate, 57% said 'No Way.'

Last week, E! Online's Mark Malkin broke the news about Gosselin's gig. Allegedly the ladies-only chat fest will contain a mix of advice, health and beauty tips and celebrity gossip geared toward mothers and moms-to-be.

"They're looking around and casting for other women to be on the show with them," one source said. "But they want all the women to be moms."

Us Weekly also has confirmed that comedian Julie Gold, former CBS talent Rene Syler and Lee Woodruff, wife of former 'ABC World News' anchor Bob Woodruff, are among the other women being considered for the show.

Would I watch? No. I love Paula Deen, kate gosselin not so much. I'm all for her supporting her family, and leaving TLC. I think it would be a smart move instead of making her kids work. I'm not a big fan of reality shows with children working. I just don't care to hear her shrew voice and just because you gave birth to 8 kids, doesn't make you an expert.

I would not watch a talk show featuring Kate Gosselin. Can't she see how much television has torn her family apart. Saying octo-mom is as normal as Kate is ludicrous though. Octo-mom should be known as freak-0-mom. Who in their right mind would spend thousands of dollars to have in-vitro done, when she already had six and had not been able to pay her rent for a year??? Where do you think the money for all six in-vitros came from? From her childrens disablity checks. The three receiving SSI. She really needs mental help. I feel sorry for the children, but I will not watch her upcoming specials, because I don't want to do anything to support her. I would also like to know how she continues to receive medi-cal for all the children, when she is making so much money by exploiting them???

The fact is, folks, this lady has eight kids to support. Dad is clearly preoccupied, and she certainly will not make it on a nurse's salary, so why not. Let the lady make a living. She has every reason to believe that the world is interested in what she has to say...people have been watching her life crumble for months. Frankly, I'd like to see her pick up the pieces and move forward. Why is that people love to watch others self destruct, and then expect them to simply limp away? I hope she does well...this family really needs a fresh start. I wish her every success!

You are correct that she would never make supporting 8 kids on a Nurses salary! But are you kidding me? Do you honestly think she has to work any more to support those kids? They have made 75.000.00 PER EPISODE,for how long? The kids have a college fund already! If she spent the money correctly she should have PLENTY of Money left to support her children for many years to come and then some! Maybe she would have to go with out the tanning pedicures the all day spa and things like that,but she does not NEED the money to support her children or even survive for that matter!! She gets everything else for FREE,and lets not forget about the LOVE offerings she still accepts!

the only other thing I would like to mention is that Paula Deen is pretty annoying all by herself (sorry butter lovers!) I don't understand how she can get, yet another, show! her food is completely unhealthy and filled with fat and her voice is like fingernails on a chalk board. sorry y'all!!

This lady makes a living just because she has 8 kids. Do you think she bought her house or vacations, vehicles, etc.??? She's famous and rich already. Furthermore, people feel bad for her because her marriage didn't work out due to lack of love. PLEASE, she does not need money. That's what ruined their lives!

I agree. I think she is trying to think of her children, not run off with the first man she meets. I applaude her, and would watch her! She deserves a chance to try and keep her life together, and God bless her for trying to support her family. Jon seems to be somewhat preoccupied with spending money..

Sorry but I think you are a bit confused about this woman's financial "situation". She doesn't have to do a thing on a nurses salary. She and her soon to be ex-husband are loaded thanks to their show. She lives in a million dollar home and has an entourage of people helping her "raise" her children. She hasn't been a nurse in years!

I don't think Kate is hurting for moey in any way shape or form. Thi woman is living in a million dollar home. She can afford to go and get her nails done every two weeks along with tanning sessions. Her hair is always kept up. If you haven't noticed she is getting $75,000 an episode. Plus she is traveling promoting her book. I am not sympathetic for her. Only for these poor babies caught in the middle of a nasty war.
