Anna Nicole Smith's Doctors Were Warned of Drug Danger

A Los Angeles pharmacist told Anna Nicole Smith's internist that the drugs prescribed to the model after her son died were "pharmaceutical suicide," according to unsealed documents written by state officials. The Los Angeles Times reports that the pharmacist refused to fill the prescriptions and later recalled thinking, "They are going to kill her with this."

Smith's doctors were warned about prescription drugs by three pharmacists, according to unsealed affidavits obtained Monday by the LA Times. The documents are part of an investigation of the role that Smith's doctors, psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich and internist Sandeep Kapoor, had in her overdose death in February 2007.

The physicians and Smith's boyfriend and attorney Howard K. Stern pleaded not guilty May 13 to conspiring to illegally provide her with controlled substances. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for next month.

In court papers filed last week, prosecutors said they plan to call the model's bodyguard and Larry Birkhead, the father of her daughter, Dannielynn, as witnesses.

The documents also cite evidence that both physicians crossed professional boundaries by having sexual contact with their famous patient. Calls to attorneys representing Eroshevich and Kapoor were not immediately returned Monday.

The first request for drugs for the former Playboy Playmate came five days after her son died and asked for two sedatives, 300 tablets of methadone, a muscle relaxer, an anti-inflammatory drug and four bottles of a strong painkiller.

Doctors in the U.S especially Dr's of celebs are nothing more than drug pushers with a license(to kill, in some cases)it is common knowledge in the medical field that pharmaceutical companies reward Dr's with cash for pushing drugs onto patients that do not need them and then getting them hooked, that's why the Doc's prescribe so freely and negligently because that's how they can buy their beach houses and boats. Pharmacists who do not write the prescriptions so get non of that cash back deal know this, therefore they are the ones who see and should report more drug dealing abuse by Dr's.

The truth will come out....not anytime soon but it will come out......I worked as her double and she was a funny...kind hearted person looking to be loved...like all of us...It will come out exactly how she died and her son you'll see.........u can see me as anna on you tube under anna nicole double...I miss her I get so depressed around this time its dani's bday and the same week her brother died...Its going to be terrible when dani gets older and her bday is a few days before her brother passed away....I pray for her and know that Larry is a great dad...She will have a happy life...and I will be writing a book on how great her mom was and all things she will need to know that the press never prints...REST IN PEACE pookie and mamalynn I miss you everyday........people will know the truth I promise.....

The doctors are to Blame,along with Stern. If Stern had loved her, as he stated,he would have said "NO" to filling those scripts,and really found help for her, no matter what it took. And the video's he made, with her pregnant & high,and smuggling meds into the rehab, to keep her high, was criminal in my eyes. I think he was riding on her check book all along, and thought he was going to be her soul beneficiary in the end. I would who furnished her son with the drugs, when he arrived on the island, remember she was in the hospital giving birth. The only one present were Stern and Anna besides the son and she was confined to her bed after a C-section ? The only decent,and honest people in this tragedy were, the Pharmacists that warned them, and Larry Birkhead. I really believe Larry truly Loved Anna, and she threw him away for the drugs too. Very sad and Tragic. Especially for Dannielynn, losing her mother & brother within days & weeks of her birth. Never to know them. She will someday, read all about the lifestyle and how they tried to take her natural father from her, besides, the deaths. Hopefully Larry will seek professional counseling for her,to help her deal with everything that happened. God, Knows she will need it someday!!

I don't live far from the Hard Rock Hotel and my church is near the medical examiners office. Remember how long she stayed there? Traffic was a nightmare. Literally, dozens of the vans with the huge antennas on the roof were everwhere. A little trivia.....the room she died in really doesn't exist anymore. The hotel changed the number on the door and swore the staff to secrecy.

Ok, this message is for the people commenting on the guy who "says" he is a doctor.

Here's just a thought.... Out of all the doctor's note I have seen through the years. I have NEVER BEEN ABLE TO READING THEIR "HANDWRITING" looks like chicken scratch to me. They go through many years of college to become a doctor and yet we as patients can't even CLEARLY READ ANYTHING THEY WROTE AND/OR WRITE.....
So, my point....do or can doctors type correctly???? Or do they get "special docotr computers" that type the chicken scratch???? LMFAO

YES! you can blame the Doctors!! I used to work for a doctor who gave people anything they wanted in HUGE quantities, pharmacists used to complain all the time, but he kept doing it, and to my knowledge ....still is. It's really unbelievable what some doctors do and how they get away with it. If somebody really wants to kill themselves all they have to do is swallow a great big bottle of tylenol and would probably be successful, but Dr's should be more responsible, THEY KNOW BETTER!!!!

I have to agree with WebStar222 on one thing, and that is Anna Nicole did in a way, die from a broken
heart. She was never the same after her son Daniel died from an accidental overdose. She kept saying she had to sleep b/c when she slept she saw Daniel in her dreams beckoning her to come to him. I had similar dreams after my mother passed away when I was very young, and she was only 50 at the time. I wanted to die also, but with the help of therapy, I
made it and didn't kill myself, like I wanted to. And I'm glad. I'm now married, have three beautiful
children, and I wouldn't trade that in for anything! I could really feel Anna's pain after her
son passed away. I certainly can't say 'I know how she felt,' b/c I've never lost a child and I heard that is the worst loss ever. Anna was destined to die the way she did. I'm actually surprised she did
not die years earlier when she had her stomach pumped for an accidental OD on pain pills..

Both of these doctors should have thier license revoked...too many pills not enough Tx...
there are many people under the radar in this country who are (or experienced) this ordeal who are too medicated to even make the rational decision to stop..sometimes families or loved ones are enablers and are too ashamed to seek help for them based on social biases,cultural issues,lack of education,etc. People...doctors are there to make $$$$$,connections with people with $$$$.
Don't put these people on pedestals. ADDICTION is a DISEASE!!! but it sad to see that DR's put the hippocratic oath down the toilet!!!! Patients empower yourselves with information.....
