Closet-Dwelling Ghost Haunted Carradine

File this squarely under creepy. A few months before his body was found hanging in a Bangkok hotel room closet, David Carradine sat down to discuss a ghost he believed was haunting him ... from a closet.

The interview, taped for the Oct. 3 premiere of the BIO show 'Celebrity Ghost Stories,' centers on Carradine's belief that his wife Annie's deceased husband Dana was using the closet in their bedroom as home base to spook them. In the footage, the late 'Kung Fu' actor describes the "icy cold" feeling he got.

"I think he was hanging out in the closet, and sometimes when I walked into that closet ... it would be cold in there, unreasonably cold," Carradine said, according to quotes from the New York Post, which claims it's his final interview ever.

Carradine was equally freaked out by one of Dana's ties that remained in the closet. "[It] was turned around and it had a little logo attached to it ... that said 'Grateful Dead,' and I thought, what does he mean by that?"

"It was obviously a joke, that the dead were grateful . . . it was the only way he could communicate [that] he now felt like everything was settled, the kids were taken care of and I was gonna be there for them," Carradine said. "And I will be."

Carradine died of asphyxiation on June 3 after an apparent self-bondage episode went horribly wrong. He was found naked with a rope tied around his neck.

Rob Sharenow, BIO's senior VP of programming, said the network didn't want to exploit Carradine's death, so they held the episode and didn't mention the actor's involvement until now.

"We wanted to be respectful, first and foremost, and to roll the show out as planned," he told the Post.

And "roll the show" they shall, with Carradine featured heavily in marketing materials.

"We're absolutely going to feature the Carradine story prominently the week it airs," he says. "While we don't want to appear as if we were exploiting his misfortune ... we don't want to be shy about talking about it."

"It's extraordinary -- and people are going to notice it."

Other stars who revealed their own ghost stories include Joan Rivers, Scott Baio and Carnie Wilson.

There has been quite a few people who have passed during sex. No
matter how they are doing it. That is personal to someone. I know
'his' way was different, but never the less a passing. Have respect.
We all have our phobias and usually stay away from what makes us
fearful. Mine is sharks, so I stay out of the ocean. He should of
stayed out of the closet maybe. People who are afraid to fly do not
board a airplane. Who started with the Ellen thing anyway?

I think Ellen is what the show needs. I think a FAN'S perspective is what they need. You have someone that signs musicians and recognizes talent but what about the everyday people that actually make the stars stars. Kudos to Ellen and I will watch just for her now.

How does everyone get onto a topic about Ellen out of this David Carradine Story? And what does her being gay have anything to do with anything? David Carradine Met his end in an unusual way but what he was into was nobody's business. It is a bummer that his family will have to move on without him because of some carelessness.

I think you're totally correct in your evaluation. Get a judge up there that has some background. Be it, singing, producing, dancing etc.

Ellen Degeneres does not need musical talent and background to act as AI judge. There must be decision makers behind AI judges. Because, because they are like robots who just sit down and comment as they see. They have no right to select the winners. It is so easy for Ellen to do like other judges. I don't like gay ( not lesbian), but gays are also human beings. Ellen should be AI judge that makes big money rather than a comedienne.

OK, for those of you confused about the insertion of Ellen blogs on here, it's simply because there was a poll question about her at the end of the article. However, people really should focus on the main subject of this page, which is the story about Mr. Carradine. Very sad indeed. Now, as to those defending Ellen as a judge, I love Ellen as much as anybody, but, it isn't fair to the contestants to be judged by someone not qualified to do so. She is more than qualified to judge comedians as someone mentioned earlier and she should stick to what she knows. Would you let your plumber do a heart transplant on you? Would you feel that it was fair for Lindsay Lohan to judge your cooking skills? Or Courtney Love to judge your parenting skills? Ok, a bit exaggerated, but not really. I wouldn't want my future to hang in the balance of someone who is not qualified or wouldn't take my hard work and efforts seriously. Do you ask a butcher how to change the alternator on your car? No, you take it to someone qualified to work on your car(no offense to any of the persons being compared here, it's only for comparison purposes, any other opposites may be inserted as well). It doesn't matter that it was Ellen that was chosen, it's simply about qualifications. It would be the same if they would have chosen O.J. or a crazy bag lady that talks to herself. Qualifications, period.

Please keep that lesbian off this message board! This board is supposed to be about and for David Carradine, not Ellen DeGenerate! David (God keep him) mentioned many things that are consistent to seeing/hearing/feeling ghosts, especially the part when he went into the said haunted closet, it got overwhelmingly cold! That's so true. Living at my parent's house was kind of a nightmare b/c two people died in that house before they bought it. My mom and I always felt a prescence in that house, and it wasn't always the best feeling in the world... But, yes it would get cold in certain parts of the house. After my mom passed away, there were several things that I noticed that she was trying to 'reach' me and my father. The way she communicated with me was a lot like that show "Medium." I would have these dreams, so very lucid and so real, yet still dreams. I would dream, of my mom telling me something or warning me about something, or at least trying to warn me.. I know a lot of people don't believe in ghosts and those people I do respect but think they need to have a more open mind about such things!

I am amazed at the bigotry on BOTH sides of the heterosexual/homsexual subject. Hey gay folks..just because many YOU define yourself solely on your sexuality doesnt mean all hetero's do. And hey hetero's the only valid reason you would have hate for someone for what they do in the privacy of their own lives is because you're curious about it and are afraid to come to terms with the possibility that you might be gay yourself.

I sure liked to watch Kung Fu when I was much younger. That was a well put together show. It is of course always sad when anyone dies. Well, Mr. David either died alone and of his own hands or someone was with him. Hard call to make. But hey, I was alone near Whitewater Falls in North Carolina and a lot of daredevils have lost their lives playing around with the waterfall there over the years too. I mean I feel like saying judge not, lest ye be judged. Dead is dead whether hanging from a closet, trying to be a daredevil and crossing some waterfall or speeding just a bit on the way to work. I feel that we all must beam out positive energies toward one another, nothing negative. I mean if there is a woman in the car next to me trying to pass me in an unusual furror, I hope to be man enough to think, "God bless her, I hope she will be alright and win the lottery today and buy a new Hummer, instead of the kind of ne'er do well who would call her the "b" word and hope she wouldn't even be on the road with me tomorrow, see what I'm trying to say?
Well now, too, I always hear some remarks about the "gays" in this country. Well I believe my own mother said it best when she said, "There are only two kinds of people in this world, good ones, and bad one!" If I'm a gay, I can try my hardest to be a good person if I want to, or if I choose the dark side I can go that route and use explosives to get into a bank in the middle of the night and take other peoples money and go to Costa Rica. Well no, evil isn't for me, if I want to lay on the beach in Costa Rica and drink fancy mixed drinks with little umbrellas in there, I can probably raise the money legally to do that with. Hey, I don't need to kidnap a Lindberg! So I mean all I'm hearing about gay people and I don't have seyances here at my apartment. What do you think? I mean I try to work and mail in checks to pay my electricity bill. Well, realy, there is no ouijiboard in here! So all I'm trying to say is if I give a reason to hate me, point it out to me. Mail me a post card about it and I'll try to change the whatever it is somehow. But two consenting adults please lets not just assume that they are Bonnie and Clyde together and going to rob a bank, see what I'm trying to illustrate. I mean I just wish big, tough straight men everywhere would just hug me, and kiss me and love me all over. I mean think about it. I'm one they don't have to worry about stealing their girlfriend. they ought to be saying, "Dude, thank you for being a gay!" Because I mean if not, think of how overpopulated this world would be, and they say, if everybody were the same, then everyone would be fighting over same woman. Now this Ellen is probably someone very good. Very rare and very kind.
Beam love and you might receive beams of love. beam dislike and you might receive beams of dislike. I can beam as much or more as anyone else alive can beam. Beams of love are neither gay nor straight, they are just love! Today I even beamed love to my boss little kitten! Kittens seem to bring out the love in all people and I just couldn't be mad today! God bless!
