Closet-Dwelling Ghost Haunted Carradine

File this squarely under creepy. A few months before his body was found hanging in a Bangkok hotel room closet, David Carradine sat down to discuss a ghost he believed was haunting him ... from a closet.

The interview, taped for the Oct. 3 premiere of the BIO show 'Celebrity Ghost Stories,' centers on Carradine's belief that his wife Annie's deceased husband Dana was using the closet in their bedroom as home base to spook them. In the footage, the late 'Kung Fu' actor describes the "icy cold" feeling he got.

"I think he was hanging out in the closet, and sometimes when I walked into that closet ... it would be cold in there, unreasonably cold," Carradine said, according to quotes from the New York Post, which claims it's his final interview ever.

Carradine was equally freaked out by one of Dana's ties that remained in the closet. "[It] was turned around and it had a little logo attached to it ... that said 'Grateful Dead,' and I thought, what does he mean by that?"

"It was obviously a joke, that the dead were grateful . . . it was the only way he could communicate [that] he now felt like everything was settled, the kids were taken care of and I was gonna be there for them," Carradine said. "And I will be."

Carradine died of asphyxiation on June 3 after an apparent self-bondage episode went horribly wrong. He was found naked with a rope tied around his neck.

Rob Sharenow, BIO's senior VP of programming, said the network didn't want to exploit Carradine's death, so they held the episode and didn't mention the actor's involvement until now.

"We wanted to be respectful, first and foremost, and to roll the show out as planned," he told the Post.

And "roll the show" they shall, with Carradine featured heavily in marketing materials.

"We're absolutely going to feature the Carradine story prominently the week it airs," he says. "While we don't want to appear as if we were exploiting his misfortune ... we don't want to be shy about talking about it."

"It's extraordinary -- and people are going to notice it."

Other stars who revealed their own ghost stories include Joan Rivers, Scott Baio and Carnie Wilson.

The funny thing about you bigots is how naive and childlike you think we are. You think your little "trick" of being a bigot while saying you aren't is so darn clever. Kind of like grampa thinking the "coin outta the ear" trick still works on me.

But it's really not clever. You honestly think that we didn't read the comment boards after the Ellen thing was first reported? Where people couldn't help but write "Degenerate" and spout off about her being a [insert all kinds of bigoted labels here]. You think that we just couldn't see the outpouring of hate all over the internet from people? You think we should just chalk that up as a bunch of people "joking around"?

Nope, I'm not naive, and I'm not blind. I'm not a child that gets fooled by your little "make the bigot disappear" trick.

Oh please, Gonch. Jen's point was valid and she didn't say a word that even resembled bigotry. Anybody who has heard Ellen sing on her show (which is hilarious btw, one of my favorite day time shows) knows that she can *barely* hold a tune. She doesn't have a background in anything remotely relevant to American Idol. She's extremely popular and they're hoping she'll help keep the ratings up, period.

Are there a lot of anti-gay bigots out there? Sure there are, and that's too bad, but your gay vs. straight/us vs. them mentality reflects bigotry as well. You're as bad as they are. The fact that I don't want Ellen on AI doesn't make me a bigot. Not all straight people hate gay people. Don't judge a book by its cover please.

hey gonch, nobody has to like gay people. Personally, I think sodomy is a public health issue whether it happens between men, women, either, or both. Do your homework on HPV. Now the medical world is saying men can catch and transmit the virus. Everything has a place, and there are some places that nothing should go into (catch my drift?) If you want to take up for a practice that spreads disease, that is your choice. I don't care for gays or promiscuous straight people. I would rather my relatives not have to be exposed to these sorts of things. But, hey, whatever.

Ohhhh, so that's why. (Or at least, you're PROBABLY right.) Like everyone else, I never really understood why Ellen was chosen for the show. You know a lot of contestants that she ends up having to break the news to about their lack of talent are going to throw the whole you-don't-even-have-a-background-in-music thing up in her face. (Unless she has some knowledge or experience that we don't know about.)

If you are alone they know...No doubt david was killed by something not of this earth...In reality happens frequently everywhere including my little mid-west town.police just found the body of a 53 year old scool teacher butchered in her house.....No clues found.. all door's locked and secure..no finger prints..very strange

David died by his own hand trying to get off. No mystery there. As far as his closet being cold. Mine are cold too. I guess when you keep the door closed on a room with no heat it gets cold. No ghosts, just physics.

This guy was a paranoid nut who apparently doesn't know that the Grateful Dead was music-related, and that closets ARE often cold either due to physics, room placement, insulation, vents, etc. The only thing more stupid here is the manner of his death--which actually has happened accidentally to other people trying to get off.

With regard to the teacher, if the killer is a smart killer (or at least very lucky), his objective is NOT to leave any evidence behind. A common mistake people make is to underestimate other people.

Personally I could care less if Ellen is gay. Wouldn't make her any more funny to me. I just don't find her funny....and I'd like to know how she got the job. A lot of people out there I find with little or no talent, comedians who don't make me laugh are on tv......what's their secret?
