Jude Law Is a Father... Again

Less than two months after he revealed that a model he dated was pregnant with his child, Jude Law is a father... again. Samantha Burke, a 24-year-old aspiring actress, gave birth to daughter Sophia on Tuesday night, PEOPLE reports. The two met while Law was filming 'Sherlock Holmes' last year, but they are no longer a couple.

The family friend was candid during the PEOPLE interview, revealing Law has had little involvement in Burke's life. "I doubt Jude was there... Besides the financial support, he's not involved," the source said.

Law has three other children with ex-wife Sadie Frost.

Law's rep acknowledged the pregnancy in a statement released last July after reports surfaced in the media that Burke was expecting.

"Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year," the actor's rep said. "Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."

what a loser. he was an ass for cheating on a beautiful woman, and he's still an ass for getting more than one woman pregnant. i just don't understand people nowadays. useless and idiotic.

Is THAT all it takes to be an "ass" these days? And here I thought Kanye had a sure lock on what it takes.

Face it, the woman used him to be her sperm donating gravy train. The child is fortunate that he will step up and secure her financial future. The "mother" deserves nothing.

Hollywood has the biggest bunch of losers on the planet. Whatever happened to getting married before you have kids? No morals these people have. I just feel sorry for all of these bastard kids that they are bringing into the world. For those of you parents that still believe that children should be born to two MARRIED adults (one male & one female) please train your kids that the may do this thing the RIGHT way and not take the lead from these fools in Hollywood..

As the saying goes, "anyone can be a father, but it takes a man to be a dad." Unfortunately, I think this couplet dishonors the name that used to be revered, that of FATHER. Not only the sire of a child, but the teacher, exampler and provider. The most honored status a man can achieve. Jude is no better than a mutt off the leash. I hope he continues to get work and provides richly for his unfortunate offspring.

Its funny that everyone is blaming Jude Law and being enraged at him. Don't get me wrong, he is an absolute jerk and should be more careful and considerate, though that's not likely to happen. But on the other hand 1) unplanned pregnancies and break ups happen, even with birth control. The reason this has caused a stir is because he's a celebrity, but since we pay his to entertain,not be a moral coach it shouldn't matter.If you don't like it, don't pay attention to him. 2)the girl isn't deaf or blind, she knew who she was screwing and what could, and probably would, happen, she's an adult and responsible too.
