This 'Pretty Woman' is causing a dirty mess. Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts' new movie is disrupting worshippers in an Indian village during one of their most important festivals, BBC News is reporting.The imposing film set for 'Eat, Pray, Love' is preventing the inhabitants of Pataudi, a town near Delhi, from celebrating the religious festival of Navratri. The Hollywood star's security detail is only worsening the matter. Roberts is reportedly using a bulletproof car and helicopter in addition to a large security detail. Some media outlets have described the operations as "presidential."

It says RITE, not RIGHT. She is interupting their rite, a in thier religious ceremonies or festivals. When they media refers to the Christian Right, they mean Christians the lean to the right (conservative) in thier viewpoint. Not the same.
It is horrible that this film is causing these faithful people to miss out on such an important part of their religious year. I know I would be VERY upset if Hollywood came to town at Christmas time and told me I could not go into my church!

How about blaming the movie studio and producers of the film? That's why they have location scouts, production assistants, etc. - to figure this stuff out BEFORE filming. And the Indian government has to okay all filming locations, as well. Plus, the insurance bond that they had to have for Julia Roberts probably specifies what security measures they have to take. So, yes, she is partially responsible, but don't make it all about her!

Why is this story written so that it appears Julia is somehow to blame for all the ruckus? Shouldn't the Executive Producers be held accountable for the lousy timing. Out of respect, production should be delayed to allow these people their special time.
