Jennifer Love Hewitt Still Struggles With Body Image

Those who criticized Jennifer Love Hewitt's shape after the actress was caught with her cellulite showing in 2007 - it's time to eat your words. The 'Ghost Whisperer' star shows up on the October cover of Shape in a frilly bikini, looking toned and terrific. Even with the dramatic change evident in her before-and-after, the actress admits she still worries about her figure.

"I'm a girl, after all!" the actress, 30, tells Shape (via PEOPLE). "For the most part, yeah, I'm happy with my body, but there are days when I'm like, 'Ugh! Really? Why is it so hard to fit into my jeans?' That's when I say to myself, 'I look this way because I'm supposed to. If we all looked the same, we'd be boring.' "

Hewitt credits positive thinking for her inner peace. "I fall asleep feeling beautiful," she says. "Then, in the morning, before I leave the house, I say five things I love about myself, like 'You have really pretty eyes.' That way I can go out into the world with that little bit of extra confidence. It's a feel-good protein shake in my back pocket in case someone messes with me that day."

The actress also has boyfriend Jamie Kennedy to thank. "He's inspired me to improve my diet," she says. "He has a salad with every meal, plus lots of fruit, fish, and vegetables."

She adds, "Last summer we were in Monaco. Every morning we ran for 40 minutes through the streets of Monte Carlo. It was an amazing way to see the city. Now when we travel, we try to explore the places by running."

Girl, you are gorgeous!! I fail to see where you would ever be self-conscious about your body. Like you said... I am a girl. Also, you rock in Ghost Whisperer. You look absolutely fantastic in the clothes they pick out for you. Stop worrying about what the stupid tabloids say. I would die for a figure like yours.

Oh, please, STILL worries about her figure? She didn't seem too worried about it when her ass was the size of a Buick and she was screaming that there was nothing wrong with her, despite people screaming WTF HAPPENED TO YOU??? Nothing wrong with it? Then why was she trying so hard to hide it until someone snapped a pic without her knowing? Good to see she's back to normal though.

You and my husband both. She looks great but it is too bad that even someone as gorgeous as her still worries about her physical appearance. It says a lot about how women are valued in the world. Example: her boyfriend is not the hottest dude on the planet, but I bet he does not worry too much about it.

Yes I agree she gained weight when that unflattering pic was taken, but I also want to point out that skinny girls can have cellulite too. Sometimes that is even worse, when a skinny girl is naturally skinny but not toned and she walks around in shorts with her cottage cheese hanging out and you know her butt (or lack of one) is just as dimpled. So not only does she have the figure of a little boy, but she has the same butt as your granny. Yum...attractive.

To poster Shannon.... yes, skinny girls have cellulite too, but I'd still rather be a skinny girl with cellulite then a fat girl.

I think JHL is gorgeous no matter what weight she is. I'm a runner, too... so I know that helps in keeping the weight off. Daily exercise is the key to looking good and staying fit.
