I agree. Actors and actresses claim it is hard work - for what? for a few weeks or a month and then off to the tropics for a vacation. Try working 50 weeks a year at hard labor and getting paid very little. Actors and actresses are very much overpaid and not worth it.

Working on a movie set is hard work - not necessarily for the likes of Tom Cruise - but they start filming around 5 am most times, often finish around midnight or late in the evening, and the crew works their butts off! The only people sitting around a lot are the mega stars, the rest of the people are working hard - I know, I've been there being one of the poor schlepps who does the grunt work. So, more celebs should be saying THAT in their interviews, and Julia Roberts HAS SAID IT. She said her part was easy because she loves her job and there is a lot of downtime for knitting between takes - she praised the crew who did all the background work that nobody knows about - I mean, apart from the crew and their families and the odd movie buff, NO ONE reads the credits!

Cruise was easy to recognize. Look for the short guy that dresses like the Village people and there he is. You need to relex. I think "Hard working" is quite relative. Yes, all the above formentioned are hard jobs, doesn't mean being an actor isn't hard. Do you know what the ones that don't "make it" go through? No, of couurse not. It is a very very small percentage of actors that actually "make it". Point is, everyone works hard in their on respective fields. Now get off of your soapbox before you fall and scrap your knees.
