Simon's 'X-Factor' Is Coming to America

Looks like Simon Cowell is bringing Britain's 'The X Factor' to the U.S. and according to The Hollywood Reporter, he's trying to negotiate a $50 million a cycle salary. The 'American Idol' judge is finally inking the deal with Fox and the show's creator because he's free from his old 'Idol' contract, which forbid him from producing an American version of the hit show.

Fox and Cowell are still hammering out the deal to launch 'The X-Factor,' while also locking him as an 'Idol' judge through the 2011-12 season. He is rumored to make $50 million a season for 'Idol,' in addition to the extra cash he'd rake in with the new 'X-Factor.'

Cowell will be the executive producer on the show, but it has not been determined whether he would appear as a judge -- but it's a possibility. Other rumored celebrity candidates for the judge panel are former 'Idol' co-star Paula Abdul and the two judges from the British show: pop star Cheryl Cole and manager Louis Walsh.

All parties involved in the negotiations declined comment Wednesday.

The thing I like best about X-Factor as well as America Has Talent, is it gives folks who otherwise would have no chance of "making it" a platform for success. So, even though I know Simon makes out big time with these shows, he is giving back in a way, by building a platform for success under these people. What I do hope for, is some follow-up with others who come close but don't win. This last America's Got Talent had the last 10 people really UP there in ability. I"m hoping that they still get a shot at their dream, not just go home .

X-Factor is going to be a pretty good show I always thought that it should have been a US Version glad that it is finally in the works. And I hope Simon will be judge on the show.
