Jude Law Does Drag for New Film

In Jude Law's new film 'Rage,' he plays a transsexual supermodel named Minx -- and the actor is almost unrecognizable in his role.

But it wasn't easy for the actor to get into costume. "On the first day, it took a few hours because I had to remove all my hair. I'm a bit of a coward. I didn't go for the waxing. I just shaved it," he tells PEOPLE.

Law admits the experienced some discomfort "when [the hair] grew back."

The Oscar-nominated actor, whose ex-girlfriend Samantha Burke gave birth to his fourth child -- a daughter named Sophia, co-stars in 'Rage' with Judi Dench, Steve Buscemi, John Leguizamo, Bob Balaban, Eddie Izzard and Dianne Wiest.

Freedom of speech people..Jul-G is allowed to think however he/she feels. And so is Jude Law for taking on this role. Have we forgotten what's important in life? Everyone has to do what makes them happy. Do whatever you want as long as you dont harm anyone else and at the same time respect your fellow human beings no matter what they think. I commend those who can come out and say Im Gay or Lesbian. Power to you to live life and not be afraid of scrutiny. I can also commend Jul for being brave enough to admit their true feelings. In the end we are all the same inside and we live for the same thing..Being accepted and loved..So wishing happiness to everyone who deserves it!!!

What makes you think Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger chose to do Brokeback Mountain because of the money? That was NOT a big Hollywood blockbuster type of film. They did NOT receive huge salaries for those roles. Did it ever occur to you that Gyllenhaal, Ledger, and other actors are good actors and well respected because they choose a film or stage role because it allows them the opportunity to grow as artists? That being an artist is more important than being rich? Boy are you ill-informed. You should learn something about the world. Why don't you what art is and maybe you'll lose some of your small-minded uneducated bigotry.

It takes a very secure male actor to take on a roll like this, I can name 3 that I know of besides Jules, Patrick Swazey,Heath Ledger,and Robert Pattinson. It is all about the role and the story. Actors are very special people and deserve our respect and support. I love and respect them for their courage.
