Rachael Ray: 'I Like to Feel I've Earned My Keep'

Daytime talk show host and celebrity cook Rachael Ray was kind enough to host PopEater at her talk show studios to give us the lowdown on her favorite guests, her job perks and her work ethic. Ray tells PopEater exclusively, "I like working extremely long days... I like the feeling of that. I like to be good and tired. I like to feel I earned my keep by the end of the day." She also addressed all of her critics, telling us "not everybody on the playground is going to like you." For more Rachael, watch the video below.

Ray also shared her outlook on guests to 'Rachael Ray': 'When celebrities come on we try to have fun with them, play games with them, let them forget that they're celebrities. when our viewers come on, we try to turn them into rockstars.'

And while the TV personality insists she loves meeting all of her guests, a few do stand out. "50 Cent was on," she says. "He's brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. He really knocked my socks off."

I don't adore Rachel Ray but she's pretty real, as far as "celebrities" go. Maybe that's why she's so popular - people can relate to her???

I like her. She's genuine and personable. She supports women having fun and kids having healthy habits, as well as giving people economical tips... what's so wrong with that?

I love her. She is kind, good hearted and down to earth. Totally the opposite of most of the phony celebrities we are bombarded with on a daily basis. Rachel is a breath of fresh air, a young woman who despite her huge success remains true to her roots. Change the channel if you disagree. There is plenty of programming I ignore.

Hi, I worked at one of her book signings and she was rude to the employees and slapped the hand of the manager away when she tried to shake her hand. She was rude and obnoxious. On both days she left early leaving a lot of people who waited for hours to see her with her book and no autograph. I was very disappointed in her. I have met other people who have run into her and said that she was rude. I think she is a fake and I won't buy or sell her book or watch her show.
