Johnny Depp Saved Courtney Love's Life

While many women claim they would give up their lives to lock lips with Johnny Depp, musician Courtney Love has come the closest of them all.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star once gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation when Love collapsed in front of him, she reveals in Britain's Style magazine.

"I was going to die on a few occasions. Johnny Depp gave me CPR on one," she says. " I was watching that movie where he plays Dillinger ['Public Enemies'], and I was like 'Mother f---er, I never had myself any
JD except CPR.' "

The former Hole frontwoman and widow of Kurt Cobain has a history of substance abuse, which led to her brush with death and Depp's subsequent kiss of life. In 2003 she accidentally overdosed on OxyContin and in 2005 Love admitted to using drugs in violation of her drug-rehabilitation probation.

Love appeared to have kicked her habit in 2006 when she told Rolling Stone magazine: "I would just like to thank the court for allowing me these 90 days... [It] helped me deal with a very gnarly drug problem, which is behind me... I've just been playing guitar and taking care of my daughter."

Style magazine goes on to say that Love and her daughter, Frances Bean, 17, are currently residing at a New York hotel while their nearby apartment is being completed.

"They are the best staff in the world," Love says. "When my bank account got frozen, we had $14.32 a week, so we lived off the kindness of strangers. The guy at the travel agency put his credit card down for the hotel. How insanely nice is that? And we are on the sixth floor. Not love nor money will buy you this floor."
