Curtis: Monroe Miscarried My Child

Actor Tony Curtis is reportedly dropping a major bombshell in his new memoir, claiming that screen icon and his 'Some Like It Hot' co-star Marilyn Monroe miscarried his child while the two were both married to other people.

Britain's Daily Mail is reporting that in Curtis's new book, titled 'The Making of Some Like It Hot,' the actor writes that he and Monroe had an on-and-off affair beginning in 1950 that was eventually rekindled on the 1958 'Hot' set while both were married to other people. It's then, he claims, that Monroe became pregnant with his child.

Curtis says he "was stunned" when Monroe -- who was married to playwright Arthur Miller at the time -- told him she was pregnant. "I just stood there. The room was so silent that I could hear tires screeching on Santa Monica Boulevard," he writes in his book.

The actor claims that when the issue was brought up with Monroe's husband Miller, the theater legend told him: "Finish the film and stay out of our lives." Curtis then says he "stared at him for a minute. Then I looked at her. She was crying. Okay,' I said. 'That I can do.' I turned and walked out. I went to my dressing room, closed the door and locked it."

Curtis says months later, he had found out that Monroe had a miscarriage. She died several years later in 1962 at the age of 36.

The actor has written about his time with Monroe in the past, coming under fire for comparing kissing her to Hitler in his 1993 autobiography.

In the new book, Curtis also says: 'When I was in bed with Marilyn I was never sure - before, during or after - where her mind was ... She was an actress. She could play a part. She could give the part what she thought a man wanted. I never asked for more."

Curtis is currently married to his fifth wife, Jill Vandenberg Curtis.

How long is it going to take before people let this woman rest in peace? I am however not surprised that someone else is making money off of her. I guess that is what she will forever be remembered for.

Actually Karen, you are wrong. Monroe is known for a lot of things. She was a solid & marvelous actress (something she doesn't get enough credit for) & was one of the best actors who knew how to use her dialogue effectly (legendary director Billy Wilder claimed that as well). She was the first "real" blonde bombshell (even though she colored her hair). She's simply is an icon who will never be forgotten. Yes, she had some personal problems but that doesn't take away anything truly away from her.

This woman lived a different kind of life (that's not a bad thing by any means) & I think many just wouldn't be able to truly understand it.

Tony must be broke and needs to sell some books. Personally, I would have banged her nine ways from Sunday but I wouldn't have waited this long to talk about it. She was spectacular.

This isn't shocking or surprising. The stars of yesterday had just as many affairs and messed up situations as today's.Who knows,if the shoe was on the other foot,and Curtis was dead,but Monroe alive,SHE might be the one writing the tell-all.God knows there'd be a lot to tell with the Kennedys,Curtis,Sinatra,etc.

Tony Curtis is the biggest self-serving liar to emerge from the dustbin of Hollywood since Shelley Winters. Curtis has reframed and retold his relationship with Monroe for decades, and each time the story changes. You can't trust a word that comes out of his mouth.

Well, considering that Marilyn was already pregnant when she began filming Some Like It Hot and DID later have a miscarriage...did Curtis have power sperm that super-impregnated her while she was already preggers???? Monroe was a cheap tramp who would screw anyone that said Hi to her. I don't know why anybody is defending this whore. She disrespected The First Lady and for that I will not have any respected for this whore. Anything that is said of her I will believe because everybody knows how nasty she was.
