Conan O'Brien Makes Head Injury a Joke

Last Friday, Conan O'Brien was rushed to the hospital after hitting his head during the taping of 'The Tonight Show.'

O'Brien suffered a concussion while racing 'Desperate Housewives' star Teri Hatcher -- but ever the professional, the late night host was back to work on Monday, and showed the video of his tumble. Watch It

"This floor, to roll cameras on it, has to be very hard. And I'm a big guy ... and I went back and hit my head and in that moment I just saw stars, but I tried to keep going ... I honestly don't remember this part but I ... tried to stand up but I couldn't stand up and I tried to throw to a replay which I did," he explained.

A clip of what happened next was then played. "I kind of couldn't speak at that point," Conan added.

O'Brien was later pulled aside by producers when he didn't understand what to do with his blue cards for the next guest, Seth McFarlane.

"It was like a menu for an Egyptian restaurant," he described of the cards.

Conan said that people began asking him questions like what year it was. "My first answer was, 'I know it's not 2011,'" he joked.

Andy Richter, who was present at the accident, also told tales of what happened that night. "I was in the front of the ambulance and I didn't know whether to tell you this or not but those paramedics took a lot of pictures of your penis. At one point it looked like they put sunglasses on it."

The comedian then offered his apologies to both Hatcher and McFarlane, since the show did not air.

I'm glad he's ok. Childish skits as they may be but still funny stuff, a true entertainer who pokes fun of himself and is involved to the point of injury to make us laugh. You stuffed shirts need to loosen the collar a bit. Watch more of Conan and see if you don't catch yourself chuckling or laughing at his wits, monologues, interviews & skits. Jay walking "yawn"

I like Conan. He's an alright kinda guy. Don't watch him much, but am thinking of watching him a bit more now. He's not smarmy.

We are getting to bed early since the Jay Leno show switch and this new kid who is not funny to our way of thinking. Maybe it was just a habit when we watched Jay Leno; but now we've broken the habit. Actually, I think Conan his hit his head often and long before the tonight show.
