It is very sad. You kind of believe that being saved in the plane crash meant God had greater plans for him. I guess it just goes to prove that even though God has an ultimate plan for us, we can always do something to screw it up. He gives us free will and it is up to us to do the right thing. Be guided by our moral compass. God Bless.

God had nothing to do with it. He was a drug addict.
I agree; that would be Satin and Not God. The people around him should also be looked into like the other high profile deaths. He wasn't alone in this ugly journey and he was supplied by someone.
LOL, God had better plans for him??? LOL, IT WAS A HIT!!! He survived the plane crash so they got him another way... Made it look like a drug O.D. It's an old setup...I would keep an eye on Blinks drummer... Pray for him. And pray that whoever did this is EXPOSED!!!
Accidential? Ummmmmmm no. It was no accident he had that many drugs in his system. He gave up. Sad. He was extremely talented DJ that gave up on life.

We are talking about a person. It is truly a tragic story. It astounds me that you are so uncaring about your fellow man.
Addiction is a disease, folks. It's been proven scientifically, and is recognized as such by the American Medial Assoc., ASAM, NIDA, SAMHSA, etc...It's long been proven that addiction is brain disease with behavioral components. It's not a lack of willpower, or "just giving up." Goldstein had a relapse that cost him his life. And to all you saying "he survived a plane crash, why would he throw it away on drugs??" did you ever think that may have been just a bit traumatic for him?? Trauma is a big cause of relapse, and also a big reason those with the genetic predisposition towards addiction become addicts (proven in counseling of addiction patients)...Wow, some of you folks JUST DON'T GET IT!!! I will mourn his loss as another life taken by addiction. But the way people treat addicts is reprehensible. Like we are all beneath you. I was a college graduate with a solid job when I become an addict. As a recovering addict, I am doing quite well, making great money, getting married, and have been clean for nearly 2 years. Most of you idiots that think addiction is a "lack of willpower" wouldn't even look twice at me, as I am not homeless or the stereotypical "crackhead" or "street junkie"....But I wake up every day knowing a relapse isn't far away if I don't dedicate myself to recovery. That's why 12 steps preaches "1 day at a time." We are only promised that day. What's in the past is just that, the future isn't promised. Please learn about addiction before posting your ignorant comments, idiots!!!!
GROW UP FOR EVERYLIFE IS WORTH SAVING- He wasn't stealing, killing or shooting people, or being a menace to society like what judgemental peope say any person who uses drugs is cosidered a "JUNKIE" in your eyes. What really is a junkie? B/c he was ONLY HURTING HIMSELF, and had some MENTAL issues that he was using drugs to not think about them, and unfortetalt either purposly took every thing he could. BUT FROM AN "EX- JUNKIE'S PERSPECTIVE" who also ONLY HURT AND ALSOST KILLED HELSELF. I isolated myself on and off for years and my friends would pull me up. When you lose all hope, you don't tell a soul, for you have HAD IT and want to die ro waqnt to be alone for a week or 2 and think if you can just do so amny drugs that you dobn't have to think about reality for a whiule, you'll feel better- WHICH IS NOT THE CASE! WE WILL NEVER KNOW anything besides he NEEDED HELP< LOVE< AND JUST HID OR SOMEONE PROBABLY COULD HAVE SAVED HIM.
I AM HERE, grug free for 2 and 1/2 yrs now, have 2 college degrees- one from before, have NEVER been on welfare, stolen a penny, been arrested, and mainly used PRESCRIPTION DRUGs- but did start w/ cocaine (injecting-with clean needleS only- have no diseases-ty- SURE U WERE THINKING THAT B/C OF YOUR OTHER COMMENT) Anmd NO ONE KNEW- I was TRYING TO KILL MYSELF and luckily a friend came and found me passed out b/c he "had a weird feeling" and was in the hospital 3 days, and never have used ANY DRUG since March 12th ,2007. Thank you- Love always, "A SO-CALLED- JUNKIE - According to your stupidity- THAT SHOULD BE DEAD BUT IS HERE FOR A REASON" and SURE to god hopes I NEVER, ever meet you!
I don't hope for bad stuff to happen but somnetime in your life, you will probably have a loved one with a drug, alcohol, or mental problem. So you cal them a waste and junkie- I dare ya and we'll see whre you end up- Sure won';t be with me in HEAVEN! Will pray for people like yourself to see that no ones is perfect. Killers, rapists, theifs do not care for OTHERS-MOST DrUG ADDICTS, especially those who attempt or do commit suicide are only hurting themselves. For I have felt the pain, you feel like you don't deserve to eat sleep, breathe, or anything- you feel so hopeless and eventually, since it's all internal and no one's a mind reader- you feel no way out- even if to you or me it seems just irrational or untrue. When you have a belief- like yours's about "junkie's should die" it takes ahell of a lot to convince you differently.
GOOD LUCK & I WILL BE PRAYING FOR U- Love, Alli
Alli: Two college degrees sure didn't help your spelling much lol If you're going to write a run on paragraph perhaps you should try spell check so as not to look like a rambling idiot
The main reason I have a lot of recovery is that I talk to the people who go out to do the "research" to see if they're really one of us addicts. The answer is always the same: no sponsor, running with the losers, no meetings...ya just gotta want it. Recovery is the only game in town. A simple program for complex people. He was doing so well but serenity can be pretty boring if you're addicted to chaos. I don't think he planned to come back. And that was his choice. Better him then me but I was saddened by his decision. If I ever go out there, I wouldn't plan to make it back, either. I wouldn't have the humility to start over. I just take it a day at a time. And no matter what happens, I don't use or drink. Wow, 28 years as of yesterday. I couldn't have given you 28 minutes 28 years ago. All I have is today, You have to trust the process, a day at a time. Yeah, Baby!
Drugs=Death!

No, TOO MANY SPECIFIC drugs = death. There are many drugs that help peoples health problems, and many recreational drugs can be used responsibly.
No kidding ....what a shocker.....geeeeeeez another drug od....I just can't believe it ....fame money escaped death and had to get higher and higher on drugs......and some people fighting terminal disease are desparate to live.....

What a jerk. He was given a second chance at life and threw it away on prescription drugs. Oh well, natural selection.

Since when is Cocaine a "prescription" drug?
Cocaine is not a prescription drug, but the rest of the stuff he had in his system were prescription drugs
