Husband Files for Divorce From Rossum

Emmy Rossum's year-and-a-half marriage has come to an end.

The actress' husband, music executive Justin Siegel, has filed for divorce from the star, TMZ reports. Siegel cites irreconcilable differences and is asking for spousal support and court costs.

According to PEOPLE, the pair -- who married in February of 2008 -- split in August of 2009.

The 'Phantom of the Opera' star has reportedly now been linked with Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz.

He wants spousal support after a year and a half of marriage? Give me a fu**ing break.

Married less than 2years and he wants spousal support? I'd laugh at that request if it came from the woman.

And if she and her hubby split, and he initiated the split, why shouldn't she start seeing someone else. It only counts if she was seeing someone else while they were living together.

Then again, I don't know who either of these losers are so don't really care who gets what, who does whom or who did what with whom. I'm just killing time at work while I wait for the clock to advance and it's time to leave.

Just shows that these days it is better to live together before getting married so there are no legal entanglements when you decide this person is not for you. And also shows that these days couples don't enter marriage as as a "forever" commitment...my husband and I have been together more than 42 yrs and still are each others best friend.

The rule in Calif is" who ever make the most money" can be made to pay the other no matter how short of time they were a couple"....

I know someone who just went through this and she was ordred to pay him $1,000 a mo for 6 months and she had to all of the bills that they had (Wedding,Atty)and this was all after only 13 Mo's.
