Mel Gibson is no better than anyone else. After his arrest I quit watching any of his movies.I have no respect for him anymore. His record should not be erased. If this hinders his career, then so be it. He brought it on himself.

OK... I read the entire article on Mel Gibson wanting the DUI MIA charge removed from his record, then googled... I still don't know what MIA is about. Charged with "Missing In Action" maybe?

Wow, another rich douche-bag with a sense of entitlement!!!

YOU HAVE THE SAME RIGHT AFTER SERVING THE SENTENCE -WE ALL CAN HAVE COURT RECORDS EXPUNGED - OR DIDN'T YOU KNOW THAT? WHY SHOULD MEL BE DIFFERENT?

What a shame, all that talent and too few brains. Keep a racist talking and he/she will always expose themselves. Like father like son. Hey Mel, take your millions and go away! I WAS a fan, but now - not so much. No one wants to see him on the big screen anymore. No one cares if he were drunk when he made those statements. The alcohol just loosened him up so he could say what he probably always wanted to say.

David...No I didn't know that because I never had a DUI. And who has the money to do it. If the drunken b@stard kept his @ss home, maybe he wouldn't have to do this.

Nevermind about David. He has sand in his vagina & it makes him a little cranky. Expungement of your records for a past crime is everyone's right once they've completed their parole/probation. However, felonies are much harder & MUCH more expensive & time consuming.

i have not watched Mels movies since he shot his mouth off. he is no better than anyone else. so he has money! i lost respect for him and i used to like him. when you are drunk the real turth comes out. you can't hold it back. he really feels he is entitled to more than everyone else. i too would not know you can have it removed. i havent had a dui.it must cost something. the average person can't do it.

People when they are sober keep their real feelings to themselves. When drunk they let loose on how they really feel. They let loose. Does he have the right to express his feelings- Yes, as long as not to threaten anyone. "Freedom of Speech." Can they blackball him- Yes. He said it and has to face any penalties. Should they erase it or the charge- no. His career is probably overwith. His father was the same way- "like father like son." Sorry Mel, I liked your movies.

Too bad he can't expunge the fact that he made his career wiggling his ass. Mel paid his dues on the the gay casting couches in Hollywood before he became so self righteous. Even today I'll bet he sometimes still gets a twinge of pain (and excitement)when he sits down on his moneymaker.
Mel Gibson is a powerbottom!

They can erase his criminal records but they cant erase the fact he is a racist pig. He has shown his true colors, and is just like his racist pig father.
I hope his career continues to go down the drain, and he has to get a real job some day.

Yeah, he might wipe his record clean but there are things he'll never be able to wipe out of his ass, his memories!

Yep - Mel should suffer for the rest of his life for a drunken tirade.... Too bad he didn't have the time to drug and sodomize a 13 year old like Roman Polanski - - then all of Hollywood would be rooting for him.

As adults none of us is perfect but we learn through our errors. It would appear Mr. Gibson is having a hard time either learning frin or accepting what happened. Even if he should legally erase his DUI, in the public's eye he is still guilty, so what is the point? The best way for him to move forward is to accept responsibility, learn from the experienc, get help and then get on with life. He still has a great deal of creative juice in the tank if he can just stay clear of the other juice. Good luck.

He can take it off his public record if the judge so agrees. Police and the department of licensing will always have access to it and if he gets another it counts as two for a certain number of years.

What a shame that his overuse of alcohol exposed him for a Nazi.
