'Dancing' Eyes Weren't Smiling on Ireland

Kathy Ireland will be trotting no more on 'Dancing With the Stars.' The model's quick step was deemed to reserved by judges and viewers were quick to say goodbye to her and dance partner Tony Dovolani.

Ireland, the third star to go this season, spoke to PEOPLE following the elimination and sounded thrilled by the whole experience.

"I wouldn't change a minute of it," Ireland, 46, told PEOPLE minutes after the show. "To be able to work with Tony the past six weeks has changed my life forever. I can do so many things I never thought I could do. I feel like the biggest winner because I got him as my teacher."

The surprise star of the year, former House Majority Leader Tom Delay, was surprised by the decision.

"She's a very elegant, very charming young lady," he said. "I was prepared to go. We all knew coming into this that somebody has to leave every week and we'll miss her."

I would much rather have seen Tom Delay go because he is terrible. I though Ireland was very graceful and competent but she just have that pizazz. I'll bet Delay goes next.

I agree with you Bonbon - Kathy was good enough to stay on the show. Tom Delay, to me, looks like a roughneck compared to her. He has very little style and no grace. I wondered from the start why he would be considered a great dancer. I still wonder.

I think Kathy looked beautifull and elegant, she should've been given more time, oh well!!!

I thought Kathy was beautiful and elegant. I thought there were other dancers who should have gone before her. I think she should have been given more time. She and Tony were by far my favorite pair, and I'm so upset they were eliminate. I'm really going to miss them. She (and Tony) were classy from start to finish.

Tom Delay is awful as most write ins tell us. He should not have been on the show in the first place. He should be serving time in jail!! We would only hope that he goes next but Clorus Leachman stayed a long time and was no good either.

I could hardly believe it when this POS was chosen to be on this show. He's definitely NOT a star, but a crook and a hypocrite who should be doing his dancing in prison.

I DON'T THINK SHE WAS THAT BAD, BUT I FELT BAD FOR TONY BECAUSE SOME OF THESE PROFESSIONALS KEEP GETTING GOOD DANCERS AND OTHERS GET BAD ONES. IT IS REALLY NOT FAIR. HOW ABOUT THEY GIVE DEREK A FIFTY-FIVE YEAR OLD PARTNER OR A KLUTZ. IT SEEMS JUST UNFAIR TO ME. TONY IS A GREAT DANCER AND HE DESERVES A SHOT. I THINK HE MAY HAVE ONLY HAD 2-3 DECENT OR GOOD DANCE PARTNERS.

She is very dumb and cannot dance at all. She has no rhythm -- I don't know how she is even coordinated to have modeled or exercised, ever. Obviously, she is just another pretty dummy who never spent any of her time on her mind. Instead, she must have practiced smiling and putting on makeup. Bad move to have been on the show.

Yep thats right Kathy Ireland is dumb - that is why she has her own successful clothing line, exercise product line and has been a successful model for years.

I love Kathy Ireland because she's never had any cosmetic surgery and she's still still gorgeous.

All the right wing wackos are voting for that crook, Tom Delay. He creeps me out. He also had cosmetic surgery and he's still nasty looking. Oh, yes he has had cosmetic surgery!!!!

A former very successful model has had none but this indicted has been politician has had lots of it. Waste of money and air.

Sorry to burst your bubble there, Suzanne, but Kathy had a face lift and an eye job. That's why she now has almond shaped eyes instead of her signature "doe" eyed look that made her famous.

Tom Delay must be convicted of something before he can serve time. I'm sure he'd be glad to leave due to the bone problems in his feet.

After more than a month of practice, Kathy was stiff as a board and didn't look or act like a dancer.

It would appear that some need to look up the word indictment in an on line dictionary. Some of the charges have been dismissed.

An indictment doesn't restrict movement.

The correct word is "too", not "to." This is a basic point of grammar that third graders learn. Your writers are either ill educated or just lazy.
Also, I see often the misuse here of "its" and "it's". It's is a contraction of "it is." It is not a possessive. The possessive is "its" as in "The dog had its own sweater."
"It's too bad that it's raining outside."

Kathy Ireland absolutely hasn't had any work done and her eyes have always been almond shaped. I saw her a couple of weeks ago on a talk show doing the usual visits to promote the show and she had no special lighting nor the gauze type help on the lenses that soften wrinkles on these stars when they do these show and it was obvious she had wrinkles. Actually more then I thought she'd have at her age. She's still lovely, though.

I lived in Newport Beach California when boob jobs and facelips and eye jobs are common and I can spot when work has been done at 20 paces. Ms. Ireland has not had work done. If she did, it was twenty years ago.

Well, Suzanne, I worked with her and got that info first hand....from her. Either way, she's sweet, but had work done. So, your 20 ft. eyes deceieve you. Oh, and I think you meant to say "facelift" rather than "facelip". As for her dancing, too safe and careful to be inspiring. And yes, Tom Delay will be gone in a few weeks or less.

Why can't any of these articles be properly edited. "The model's quick step was deemed to reserved by judges." Did you pass the 8th grade? It should read deemed 'too' reserved. What is this friggin country coming to? They let any idiot write today.
