Hated Pulp Fiction. What a piece of garbage. I don't understand why it got such acclaim. Am I the only one in America that thought it was horrible?

Richie, your post made absolutely no sense.

It didn't occur to you that he may have had more than one passenger? Really?

I lost 2 cousins because of a very drunk driver. He never went to jail.....They do these studies about driving while texting..make it illegal...assuming people will use good judgement and obey the law..GUESS WHAT...they don't..untill they do away with alcohol this will continue..people will never stop texting and driving...need new laws..LONG jail time first offence etc...

He and all drunk drivers who are involved in an accident with death or serious injury should be charged with PREMEDITATED MURDER since they know when they start to take that first drink that they are then going to have to drive home at some point and that the possibility of killing someone is possible. It is the same as buying the gun and then driving to someone's house and shooting them. This law will never happen because many lawmakers/polititians are known to drink a lot and they wouldn't want this to come back and bite the on the butt. And as usual polititians, stars and atheletes get off essentially scott free.

This is not enough jail time. My mom killed another young mother while drunk driving. I was in the car for that one. She got 1 year in a mental hospital. A couple years later, she killed a young man just back from Vietnam. He survived the war, but couldn't survive her. If she had been locked up for 20 years the first time, she wouldn't have been on the road for that second time.

The sentence should have been a lot harsher (I refrain from using "stiffer" in memory of the victim that died needlessly because of the driver's poor judgment). It's also sad, but true, that most of the survivors or barely-maimed from these such accidents is the drunk driver. His wife is lucky to be alive, especially since being ejected at such a high rate of speed. Since formerly living in Calie, why weren't his passengers wearing seat belts, by law? If so, maybe the vic would still be alive at least. I agree that he got off due to his apparent Hollywood notoriety, which is not excusable. He should do the time just like any other "average" person would do and be held more strictly accountable for legal justice and for the victim's relief or fairness. I hope he compensates the victim's family at least a million dollars in their loss for at least some kind of action towards retribution since the court system and his lawyers essentially pardoned him. This is so wrong. Hope his wife doesn't ride with him again clean or sober. He probably borrowed his cane from the props dept. LOSER and MURDERER.

Why don't people say "he PLED guilty" instead of " he PLEADED guilty"? This reminds me of a thing that many people say that is wrong..."The team ARE going to town"......"the team" is singular, there is only one team going to town. It would be correct to say "the team MEMBERS are going to town."

It really doesn't matter who you are. If you have the money there's alway's a possibility you will get off easy after all, money talks. Let it happen to your average hard working citizen...15 years prison time, 10 years probation, a $2,000.00 fine, Court fee's of $800.00-$1,500.00 depending on where you live or close to, not to mention the lies the police will put into their filthy judge believing reports. Why is it that every time a police officer is involved in a high speed chase or DUI they alway's exagerate the speed that was involved? I work in a court building and you can see the line of bullsh** the cops put in their reports. If it's an older car (example) mid 70's model, speeds are always over 100 miles an hour? A new car, 120! BULL!
I see it all the time.
Cops too are criminals, you see it in the news and it's a matter of time before they get caught.

he should have been sentenced to 25 years-life in prison. How many innocent lives have to be claimed by drunk driver before this country actually does something about it? One year in jail is nothing to these idiots. He'll be out boozing in to no time ready to kill again...

Here is a classic dual standard for those people in the "clique" -- includes all races ! For anybody else ( all races also included here ) -- they'd got 25 yrs. for the same crime.
Moral to the story: Definitely NOT newsworthy AOL .

He gets only 1 year in jail? The guy he killed must not have been worth much. OR, could it possibly be - The presiding judge made a coulple extra bucks here???????????? It certainly wouldn't be the first time!

ANYBODY WHO CAUSES ANOTHER PERSON'S DEATH,FROM DOING SOMETHING REALLY SORRY AND STUPID,LIKE DRINKING AND DRIVING,SHOULD GET A LIFE SENTENCE,PERIOD.YOU TOOK SOMEONE'S LIFE,YOU SHOULD LOSE YOURS.IF THAT WAS DONE,MAYBE,SOME OF THE LOSERS DRINKING AND DRIVING WOULD STOP IT,JUST MAYBER

LOS ANGELES COUNTY PAMPERS THEIR CRIMINAL CELEBS. DRUNK DRIVERS GET OFF, RAPIST GET OFF, DRUG CARRYING "IMPORTANT" PEOPLE, THEY ALL GET IT EASY. POLANSKI, A CONFESSED RAPIST, HAS BEEN FREE, JUST ANOTHER INDICATION THAT POINTS TO A CORRUPT CITY. A STENCH IN THE NOSTRILS OF GOD.
