Cowboy boots, jean cut-offs and pickup trucks don't exactly scream Hollywood, but they still feel like home to Miley Cyrus. Celebrity status aside, the young superstar -- "that chick that's rockin' kicks" instead of stilettos, as the song's lyrics go -- hasn't lost grips with her roots just yet, and she uses her 'Party in the U.S.A.' video to convey that."I loved making this video," Miley tells PopEater. "I wanted it to have some personal meaning. We recreated the drive-in that my parents hung out in [in] Kentucky when they were younger, and the Trans Am in the video is the same kind of car my mom used to drive." Watch the new clip below to see Miley have her feel-good hometown party.

I am from Louisiana and I see NOTHING wrong with the way she is dressed. She is 17 and I have seen MUCH worse 17 year old than she does. Look at the girl from Harry Potter, she is in her teens and she's already wearing dresses that look like her boobs are fixing to fall out of them. And compare her to Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan in their teens and you have nothing, NOTHNG on Miley.
Grrrrrrr, I swear that if someone isn't wearing stiletto's and open shirts or bikini's you all STILL have something to Bi**ch and complain about the person. I swear you all are just jealous becuase you can't look like she does and get away with it. And also because you have teens 2 and don't know what they do or say behind your backs so you haveta step up to the next best thing and perosn that you know NOTHING about!

You people I fkin swear you act like you were never like this when you were teens, and the teens here act like they aren't even like she is! Actually I'm positive you were and are MUCH worse than she is. I also amend her for keeping it real for the kids. The "Ice Cream Freeze" was great for the kids. Do you see Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan even singing something like that? I don't fkin think so! GROW UP AND GET OVER IT! OR DO BOTH, THAT'D BE EVEN BETTER!

OMG SERIOUSLY LEAVE THE POOR GIRL ALONE. IF YOU DO NOT THINK SHE IS A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR YOUR CHILD THEN DONT LET THEM WATCH HER. ITS FUNNY HOW SHE HAS TO LIVE HER LIFE THE WAY PEOPLE WANT HER TO LIVE IT. SHE IS HER OWN PERSON AND IF SHE WANTS TO DO GROWN UP STUFF THEN LET HER. SHE'S TALENTED AND PEOPLE REALLY JUST HAVE TO LET HER BE. HER BRA STRAP IS HANGING OUT...HAHA WHAT DO YOU WANT HER TO WEAR NO BRA SO THAT WAY WHEN SHES MAKIN THE VIDEO HER NIPPLES GET A LITTLE COLD AND IT SHOWS AND THEN PEOPLE HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO SAY? IT NEVER STOPS!!!!

I am 48 years old and consider myself pretty conservative and I do not see what all the fuss is about with this video

I am a Miley Cyrus fan as well, but this video is not flattering. The dark hair color and heavy makeup make her look awful. However, I do realize that she is a teenager and that all teenagers go through this. I remeber many horrible looks as a teenager, We grow and learn. I hope that Miley learns that she was beautiful without the changes!

As a parent I love Miley. Took my 8 year old and her bff to see her in Portland. It was a rockin' show. Parents and kids alike enjoyed it. I wish everyone would stop picking on this girl. She dresses like any other 16 year old. She isn't out there professing her virginity like Britney she's simply not talking about that. I think she's a good girl. I think you all are looking for another train wreck like Britney to watch. I don't think Miley's gonna be that wreck. SO go find someone else to hate on.

Woman here using my hubby's sign on. I think she is talented, and it's a good song, as for me-I wouldn't let my daughter wear cutoffs like that-nor have her chect showing, call me old and uptight that's alright, but too many young girls today dress like ho's to use slang!

Too add to my above comment- I am a mother of two boys-and we watch Hannah Montana-just watched her movie the whole family on pay per view last night-great movie, and I realize she is a kid-I just don't like the barely there clothing-that's me-and I am not her Momma so guess it's not my worry. But this is my opinion-and we all have a right to our opinion-that's what so good about free speech.

Acutally this video was a good thing- it gave me a chance to explain to my 11 and 7 year old daughters that just because she's famous doesn't mean she is a good role model. We talked about how her outfit didn't look nice and how she could have picked something different that might have been better.
She doesn't understand that you can be sexy without being skanky and I don't care what part of the country (or world) you come from.
I can understand a teenager thinking she is pretty cool, but honestly, it makes most of us adults a little uncomfortable, because we don't want our daughters dressing like that.
The problem is Hannah/Miley is EVERYWHERE. You can't go anyplace without seeing her face or hearing her music.
We just don't watch Hannah Montana anymore- there are lots of other kids shows out there.
