This man is a waste of space. He goes from the children enjoying being filmed to them being exploited in a matter of weeks. What a coincidence that this exploitation all started when his role in the show was scaled back.

He has taken away all the stability in these children's lives. He left the family, he gave away their dogs, and now the camera and production crews that have been a regular fixture in their lives are gone. To most of us cameras do not represent stability but these children have had them around for years.

Jon makes himself fodder for the press. He's a walking joke, with his Ed Hardy t-shirts and his twenty year old girlfriend. You can't, in one breath, say you are a responsible family man and than in the other say that you despise the mother of your children. You also can't expect the public to believe that you have anyone's interests at heart but your own.

Kate is a B***h and Jon is just an unattractive moron who gets plumper each time he's photographed. The whole concept (the "unreality" TV show) was stupid from the beginning, and the only thing more ridiculous is anyone who would have helped them have ALL those children. The entire sordid thing make a mockery not just of marriage, but of the responsibility of parenthood. They've been exploiting these kids for what, 10 or 20 years? It seems that long and I only watched ONE episode in the first season. Suddenly, because it looked like Jon wasn't going to get as big a piece of the pie as before, he and his henchman are crying foul. Just a hint out there people, GOOD mothers don't act like Kate to the point where even their bad hair styles become parodies for Halloween, and GOOD fathers are not seen hopping from continent to continent with a different TRAMP every week. ABSURD.

It seemed ok to Jon when he was a major part of the show. It didn't seem to bother him that there were cameras all over their home. He is all about the money. From the minute he was pulled from the show, and his name came off the title, he has been trying to pull the plug on it. I guess while the money is coming in to support his ridiculous life style he's all for it, but now who will pay for his NY apartment, expensive cars, and his love life? If Kate hadn't harped on him on the show, he would have sat there and let her do all the work. He always seemed reluctant to do things around the house. She has her hands full with 8 children while he is living the celebrity batchelor lifestyle. Can't raise your kids from a different city Jon.

J&K plus 8 was a cute show about a christan family raising 8 children. We got to watch the kids grow and as time passed and the show became popular; we saw Kate exhausted and berating Jon, Jon acting like a child most of the time then becoming nasty to his wife on camera and the kids in most intimate moments of their lives (potty training, temper tantrums) . Clearly both parents were moviated by money. The parents saw a way to provide without working. We saw this family getting expensive clothing donated, trips sking, trips to the beach, tummy tucks and hair restoration all gifts from people. The children were never considered while the going was good. Now they live in a million dollar home, are divorcing and Jon has decided to stop the show....Why now? They are both greedy especially Jon. I hope the state takes all their assests, liquidates it and makes both of them put that $$$into a college fund for those kids. After all the kids paid for the free ride their parents had.

I like the part were he complains about there being no compensation for the kids. HELLO--thats your job ahole, they are your kids and you made all of your money off of them. Poor Jon! So sad for you, you only made $1 million dollars off the show.........$22,500 per show for two hours work. Let's not forget all the other money you made off the show by becoming famous. The books, the free stuff, the motorcycles, the clothes, etc. All of it off the backs of your kids. You feel so bad for the kids but you go around the world spending their money on yourself and your whore. Telling the world that you don't love their mother. You are disgusting and I feel sorry for your kids. Now, it's all TLC's fault. They aren't paying you enough, they never paid your kids, you signed a contract without representation. If he is so against this "Kate Plus 8" filming, why is he on Larry King exploiting his family and kids even more??? I can tell you exactly what happened, he didn't get along w/ the TLC people (as he said), and to spite them and their decision to exclude him, he is NOW deciding all of a sudden he has a change of heart and does not want his kids on the program. I agree 100% that the show needs to come to an end, sure it was neat to witness a family delivering sextuplets into the world... but that should have been exactly where the filming ended so those kids could have as close to a normal life as possible as a family. This man is as guilty as they come, to flaunt young women around town when his divorce is not even final yet... can you imagine, Kate probably does not even take the children to the grocery store in fear of them seeing magazine covers of their father with random young women. Kate is no angel either, she has seen nothing but $ signs, and this may very well be the reason for the sudden downfall in this marriage... overall, both parents need to make the right decision as a family and for the sake of the kids and try and work on making the best life possible for this family. Also, does this man not have any balls... sure Kate always seemed to be bossy and walk all over him, but he took every last bit of it, maybe if he stood up like a real mad and told her who wears the pants in the family it would not have come to this either. A real man does not coward away and decide to get attention elsewhere b/c he does not have the balls to stand up to his own wife. The way he went (trying to become some wanna-be socialite, going after young women, and GOD FORBID, hanging out w/ lindsay lohans father...) was NOT the way to go... come now now.

Growing his "woohoo's" finally. Taking a step back and looking at the entire situation. Realizing this is not a good thing.
I feel for him, he stands up to the witch wife and she gives him grief.
Never did I see her say, thank you, please, I love you to her man. All we saw (yes I know it is in edit) was "He don't do this" "he wont do that" "how could you have thought that" blah blah blah blah blah.
Ratings were dropping. People were sick of her better then thou attitude. She wakes up and says, "wait a minute, I love this fame and attention, I need to get it back." "I will file the for the D word"
It did work people hung on by the seats of their pants, to hear that. What the heck? She makes me ill.
She lives in a make believe world. One that we will never be in. She believes she has perfect children. Ummmmmm where is that naughty chair? Start with Mom, and the bratty twin, and a few of the 6. Get some serious mental help for those babies, living in this 'perfect' world of hers is going to take much help to fix em.

I want to know how Jon plans to pay child support, his NY city penthouse apartment, & his lavish lifestyle he is used to. What kind of a livelyhood
can he get to support all that? Or does his new 'girlfriend's daddy' plan on supporting them? All of it makes me sick. If his main concern was the children, as it should have been, he would have gotten into marriage counceling and done whatever it took to keep his family together. His comments about him being only 32 with eight kids, come on, does think that will not effect his children in the future. He needs to GROW UP & actually put the children first instead of just saying it.

It was kinda interesting for the first season, when the kids were all small, but then it just got stupid. Who wants to watch some over bearing broad yelling at her spoled little brats and complaining about how she has to do it all on her own. Oh Boo hoo, she should have thought about that before becoming a baby factory. She's just a rabbit over populating the earth with more spoiled little brats (A.k.A - Matty. Kate saying she does this to provide for her children is all bs. I come from a family of 14, 7 boys and 7 girls and my family seem to manage sometimes it was tough but we all survived and learned to teach our children that hard work and respect for ones self and other humans is what life is about, all this is teaching them is that life their life can be sold to the highest bidder. Everyone here blames Jon but Kate had a hand in the demise of their marriage you all seem to forget that. Why? can't she work as a nurse anymore she just wants to take the easy way out. Her playing the victim is pathetic, their are real women out here who are victims and all the t.v. or papers say about them is why didn't they get out, or its their fault for staying with an abuser and I think Kate is the abuser in this case we don't know what went on behind close doors. She always put him down and never had a kind word to say about or to Jon. Emotional abuse is to me sometimes is worst than physical because physical you can see whats coming and emotional and mental sneak up on you and you don't know what hit you until it has you so beaten that the only way to get yourself back is to leave. So for those whom are for Kate you give the rest of the women here who have felt this kind of humiliation a bad name.

OMG it's about time...whatever the real reason is, Jon is to be commended for stopping the exploitation of his own children for money, goods, and services. His children deserve better..divorce is very stressful on children, this will be nice opportunity to actually parent and spend time with their children, even if Jon and Kate do it separately. Hopefully these two have learned the obvious lesson: money doesn't buy happiness-it must be found within.

This show should have never existed in the first place! Doctors should not be allowed to implant embryos to begin with and especially not 6! The public is to blame for watching this type of circus crap and allowing it to continue. Jon and Kate obviously were both money hungry who cared less about those kids and when they realized that the media doesn't really like you they decide they want out. Those kids are the end result of a science project that was filmed and now will be the ones to suffer. Money will never buy them happiness and they have their parents to blame for the spectacle! Stop buying any magazines, papers, books, etc.. and watching anything about them and they will go away! Instead of complaining stop allowing them to be part of the media. We own the media-without us there is no money to be made...plain and simple. I have never watched the show nor will I.
