Kate Gosselin's Lawyer: The Show Must Go On

Gosselin news is on overload, which is both slightly sickening and confusing. The latest news (as of yesterday) was that Jon Gosselin demanded that TLC pull the plug on the newly-named 'Kate Plus 8', claiming that he had every right to "protect his children." Insert eye roll here.

But now Kate Gosselin's attorney has stepped into the fray. On the 'Today Show' this morning, Mark Momijan said that Jon's threats to halt the production have fallen on deaf ears.

"These parties entered into an agreement once the divorce action was filed that allowed each parent -- who had physical custody of the children -- to make the filming decisions when the children were with them," Momjian said.

According to Radar Online, Momjian said that when the kids are in Kate's custody, she gets to make the decisions involving the eight children.

The lawyer said that Jon is at fault for the couple's lack of communication regarding the latest developments (which may be lawyer-speak for 'He's been out at bars too much').

Momjian said the 34-year-old reality TV mom "really does want to engage Jon, it's just that he's not engaging her back. And that's really regrettable in any custody case.

"She doesn't know which Jon is going to show up -- he's obviously different people at different times," he said.

Momjian said Kate plans on fulfilling her obligations where the hit TLC program is concerned.

"She's going to honour her contract," he said. "She'd like to continue with the show. She loves doing the show."

In other Gosselin drama, it's been reported by various sources that Jon plans on apologizing to Kate on 'Entertainment Tonight' on Friday night. We'll see about that.
