Ke$ha, 'Tik Tok' -- New Video

Ke$ha is no stranger to party girls. She appears in Katy Perry's video for 'I Kissed a Girl,' sang background vocals for Britney Spears' 'Lace and Leather' and, alongside her family in Nashville, appeared in an episode of the so-called reality show, 'The Simple Life,' which later led her to sing backing vocals for the show's star, Paris Hilton. Now, the 22-year-old singer has her very own girl-empowering party anthem in the electro pop cut, 'Tik Tok.'

"I just really wanted to embody the lifestyle that I live," Ke$ha tells PopEater about the song. "We're all young and broke and it doesn't matter. We can find clothes on the side of the street and go out and look fantastic, and kill it. If we don't have a car that doesn't stop us, because we'll take the bus. If we can't afford drinks, we'll bring a bottle in our purse. It's just about not letting anything bring you down."

Ke$ha has been holed-up in party central -- that is Los Angeles -- working on her full-length debut, which is due for release in early 2010. Far from being a party princess, though, Ke$ha says she is very down-to-earth. "I'm not into the whole L.A. scene. We usually go to this place called the Gold Room," she says of a typical night out with her non-A List girlfriends. "They give you free tacos, and shots of tequila are a dollar, and there's a mariachi band. You can just kick it there, have free dinner, have a shot. That's where me and my friends go; we can't afford $13 drinks in Hollywood. It's more important to be surrounded by people you love to be around than be at a scene or particular place that's hip."
