It's been an interesting few days of Jon and Kate Gosselin. In the midst of their divorce, Jon stopped proceedings to work things out with his estranged wife. TLC announced that the Gosselin father was being dropped from the title of the show -- 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' would become simply 'Kate Plus 8.' Jon fired back and legally prevented the network from filming their children. He claimed it's in their best interest, Kate said he's being selfish. So what do PopEater readers think of everything? · First, Jon stopped divorce proceedings and apologized to Kate. "I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated ... I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon." But 62 percent of more than 275K voters don't think his apology is enough for everything he's done. Get the Story and Vote

· And despite Jon's apology, 74 percent of over 256K voters are still on Team Kate.

· Then, TLC announced they planned to drop Jon's name from the title of the couple's show -- making it simply 'Kate Plus 8.' The network said the show would still feature him, but the focus would shift to Kate as a single parent. Even though our audience is predominantly on Kate's side, it doesn't mean they want to watch her show. A 64 percent majority of over 57K voters agreed they would not follow the revamped series.

· Jon quickly hit back at TLC, filing a "cease and desist" notice against them to halt filming of the children. "Jon realized his family was like a train wreck, so he decided to put the brakes on the divorce and on the show," his lawyer said. Gosselin also went on Larry King and told the news host, "I want the fodder to stop. And I want Kate and I to mediate, I want us to become friends, I want us to figure out our marriage and I don't want to be filmed anymore and I don't want the kids involved." Kate added her own response: "I'm saddened and confused by Jon's public media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show." And 54 percent of over 58K voters didn't think he was being fair by stopping the show. Get the Story and Vote

Even though Jon has been a jerk, he realizes the whole family needs to get back to living a real life, not a reality tv show life. Kate and Jon need to think of a way to support their large family without putting them on tv. Kate comes across as a golddigger, but she's not the one who walked out and found someone else.

I find the whole situation sad.... they are only human beings.. Jon may have come to the realization that he indeed has made a mistake. It happens all the time.. At the end of the day we have to realize that these people are living their lives in public and that if they were not in the limelight... this same thing very well could have happened.. I think that Jon made a mistake but I do think that they should seek counseling..I think that both Jon and Kate owe it to their kids to try everything they can to save the marriage.. I think that they need to be able to stand before their kids someday and answer as to why they did not try EVERYTHING... AND believe me ... those kids will ask.. Even if it means they drop off the planet for awhile... there will always be a place in the entertainment industry for them...
I feel bad for them.. the whole situation.. JUST SAD.

I'm sure that it was his unselfish desire to do right by his kids and to make Kate want to have a better relationship with him that made him empty out their bank account.

she made nothing out of him, always putting him down.
im surprised he lasted that long with her, he did it because of the kids. jon, me and my friends are on your side. tlc just want money, despite what there pr machine says. yes be friends with kate for the children, but get a woman who lets u be you, and happiness will come your way my friend. support from kiwiboy

Jon want's to make friends wit his soon to be ex-wife, foes he want to move in his little ladies too including Halie. What does he really wants?

through the filming to the show he was not too pious with Kate also he put in his little digs also.

IF that is what Jon really thought (the halting of the show being in the best interest of the children) he would not have emptied out the bank account at the same time. IMHO he is going for the jugular on this one.

Jon SHOULD do exactly what he's doing. He's an imp and FINALLY started thinking straight. I don't think Kate will take him back but at least he's displaying signs of beginning to be a good father.

Yeah, leaving no money in the account for food and shelter is taking care of your family. She may have been dominating, but it's obvious he couldn't dominate because he was too big of a wimp and didn't know how to run a household and a family. There is no way this marriage can be saved. He said he hates Kate, he says he can't be "me" (sounds like an excuse - my husband can be "him" without leaving the family), and he's had numerous affairs. NO WAY, NO HOW. He is such a looser. I don't blame Kate for wanting the show to go on. JON DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A JOB TO SUPPORT HIS FAMILY. Please, what are they going to do, pull money out of their a**? She wants the show so she can support her family. Can't fault her. So she put him down; the man can't do anything!!!

You are right he has finally seen the light of what is really happening even though timing is bad but he does care. Kate was so nasty about him and the way she treated him was terrible and she has found out living the life of luxury is hard to give up. For the sake of her children she need's to stop and get a real job so her children will respect her alot more when they get older and find out how and why there childhood was displayed to the world

Kate claims "Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show". She must not watch her own show. Not taking sides, just saying. At least now maybe (big maybe) the children will be put ahead of the profits.

Jon is not interested in the children. His reasoning is self only. If it had been a decision for his family, he would have done something about it before. It took his being fired, to motivate him and I see a childish move on his part. He blames all of his problems on Kate. He isn't man enough to take the blame for his own decisions. The dogs being returned was because of Kate. His leaving was because of Kate. He projects blame, so he isn't responsible for anything. Grow up Jon! Be a man and not just a sex seeker. He is a piece of work and needs to get a job and stop crying like his boys. This latiest play was because he was fired. He filmed last Friday, he rallies the onlookers when it suits him. The fact that no one is siding with him has him in a tailspin.

I really hope that Kate will just keep on keeping on and tell Jon to take a hike. She needs this show to support her kids and does a very good job of it all. You go girl!!!!

If Jon hadn't been cut out of the show, do you think for one second he would have stopped the filming?
He only stopped it because he saw his gravy train ending.
He's a hypocrit. The show was fine for his kids as long as he got paid. Manhattan appartments and tramp girlfriends cost money after all.
I don't think the show should continue either, but how the heck are these two going to support 8 children without the show?
Jon is being stupid ....as usual.

It's hard to say what happened when, since we are on the outside looking in, BUT don't you think it's possible that they changed the name to "Kate plus 8" BECAUSE his lawyer had informed TLC that Jon wanted himself and the kids off the show? Then the next day the network shuts down production altogether! I say Kate needs to find a way to support herself.
