Madonna and Lady Gaga Fight in Lingerie
Yes, the Material Girl and the girl known for unusual material - singer and strange style icon Lady Gaga - had a hair-pulling, name-calling catfight... but it was all in the name of comedy. Madonna was one of a number of surprise guests on this week's 'Saturday Night Live,' during which Lady Gaga performed as the scheduled musical act. The two popped up at the end of recurring sketch 'Deep House Dish,' dressed in matching black lingerie. Watch their staged battle:Madonna's appearance wasn't the only surprise 'SNL' had in store. With host Ryan Reynolds in the house, it wasn't a shock to the audience when actress Scarlett Johansson arrived to reprise her role as local Long Island commercial spokeswoman Lexi.
Unexpectedly, Elijah Wood made a quick cameo, and former 'SNL' cast member Darrell Hammond joined the Weekend Update for a quick turn as California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
But perhaps the greatest surprise of the evening was Lady Gaga's second song, in which the artist donned a moving gyroscope in lieu of a dress. The singer had to adjust the metal pieces of her costume to sit at the piano, then delivered a long, lounge-style version of her own song 'Poker Face,' peppered with greetings to the audience and some love notes to her native New York.

Ewww, time for Madonna to hang up the towel. Sorry, but Lady Gaga doesn't need her "mother" performing on stage with her...

Actually, I almost didn't recognize Madonna in the skit with Lady Gaga because Madonna looked so much BETTER than Gaga. I thought she was someone else at first until I heard her speak. I think Madonna looks better than ever.
Also, I agree Lada Gaga really brought it when she sang live. What a beautifully trained voice she has. Now THAT'S someone who can really sing live. I loved it! It was a priceless moment. I like how she worked the awkward costume without allowing it to distract from her talent.

I was never familiar with Lady Gaga until I saw her on this show. I think she's very attractive. But I have to give credit to Madonna, also. The fact that she could even stand up next to a 23 year old with that skimpy outfit on is a testament to how she's kept herself in shape all these years. Even facially, she's wonderful. I'm sure there's some "work" involved, but still. She's beautiful.

Good for Lady GAGA! She let everyone know in the second song that she sang LIVE! I'm still waiting to see if Britney can actually sing live. You go girl!

Lady Gaga has to sing live -she's unattractive. When you're Rihanna or Britney, you don't have to sing well or live. When you're Gaga aka Bu-bu-bu-but-ter-face, you have to sing live, well, AND you have to have something else (in this case, her inauthentic eccentricity) for a record company or a radio station to give to the time of day.

I disagree with the above comment. Since when do singers "not have to sing live?" Singing live is what MAKES a person a singer. If they don't, then they have absolutely no talent. It's unacceptable to call yourself a singer and never sing live. It's the idiots who pay to see the Britney Spears lip sync in person that fuels the fire of untalented performers in this world. Boycott the fakers!

This video would probably be better if it actually loaded and played ... the commercial loads and plays instantly, then the actual video just says "loading" ... and it still says that 10 minutes later. Even with my high speed connection.
