Madonna and Lady Gaga Fight in Lingerie

Yes, the Material Girl and the girl known for unusual material - singer and strange style icon Lady Gaga - had a hair-pulling, name-calling catfight... but it was all in the name of comedy. Madonna was one of a number of surprise guests on this week's 'Saturday Night Live,' during which Lady Gaga performed as the scheduled musical act. The two popped up at the end of recurring sketch 'Deep House Dish,' dressed in matching black lingerie. Watch their staged battle:

Madonna's appearance wasn't the only surprise 'SNL' had in store. With host Ryan Reynolds in the house, it wasn't a shock to the audience when actress Scarlett Johansson arrived to reprise her role as local Long Island commercial spokeswoman Lexi.

Unexpectedly, Elijah Wood made a quick cameo, and former 'SNL' cast member Darrell Hammond joined the Weekend Update for a quick turn as California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But perhaps the greatest surprise of the evening was Lady Gaga's second song, in which the artist donned a moving gyroscope in lieu of a dress. The singer had to adjust the metal pieces of her costume to sit at the piano, then delivered a long, lounge-style version of her own song 'Poker Face,' peppered with greetings to the audience and some love notes to her native New York.

I do realize this is Saturday Night Live but come on. Madonna you are the one who adopted children, when are you going to start acting like a responsible Mother and not a complete WHORE?? I feel so bad for your children who have to carry your shame.

Madonna alwys has been a glam clown and a popular fake. we took it as satirical, some took it seriously, taking the change fo personalities every album as scope, instead of creative bankruptcy, which it alwatys has bee. Madonna is a imitator. OPften she imitated unknowns who never made it to fame.

Why turn on her now for that?

When she was young she was an adorable fake, now she's a bad imitation of Marlena Dietrich, but as the realthing is long gone, some willaccept Madonna as make do substitue. This society lacks real supertalented stars, madonna is not a real talent.

Do you think Madonna and Lady GaGa help women or hurt them? Do you think they give an unreal image of women to some guy who think that all women should be airheads in lingerie? Think its interesting that once the women's movement was taken over by lesian leaders (NOW is the best example)that women are more objectified. I guess lesbians like seeing straight girls prance about like Barbie too.

Madonna looked great but the skit was dumb and kind of embarassing to watch really. It started out funny because I love Kristen Wiig, but they just looked really stupid.

Anyway so tired of the "tramps skanks whatever" comments. They are sexy, hot strong women. I also love Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani. Love their glam styles- their talent- their beauty... just because they don't go along with "mainstream" classic style does not mean they don't have class or style. They are fabulous FABULOUS ROCK STAR STYLE! I mean no one says anything about male glam stars like they rake these fabulous women through the coals! And stop with the "butterface" comments losers. You WISH you could date a sensational kick ass chic like her. That's why so many guys go for the cute and tame girls- they aren't man enough to woo a strong confident glamour babe. It's bad enough to know that men fight on t.v. I'd had better hopes for women, that they would not want to follow suit, even in jest...and in their underwear much less...that only makes it worse. Madonna is too old now to act this way and her legs and arms look like chicken skin. She's still pretty, but she needs to cover up a little. She needs to realize that she should be focusing on her kids now and stop being so selfish!
