Jon Gosselin Says Kate Is Hiding Cash; Denies Huge Withdrawal

Jon Gosselin is calling his estranged wife's claims that he withdrew $230,000 from their bank account a "total fabrication," instead insisting he only grabbed a fraction of that. The father of eight tells The Insider he "withdrew $22,000 last Thursday" and has "the paper trail to prove it."

Kate must be "hiding money," he asserts, because they should have more than enough to pay the bills. "We have 11 bank accounts. That was just our joint account. She had a best-selling book. Where's that million dollars?"

On the 'Today' show on Monday, Kate claimed Jon has a history of taking money out of the account. "When you've left your children and their mother unable to pay for the roof over their heads, it's not acceptable,"

But Jon disputes her claims, saying he's always been prudent when it comes to their finances.

"I've never taken any money out because over 10 years, Kate handled all the banking. Over the past four years of doing the show, we accrued $2,250,000. She says in the past week I took $230,000. I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That's like my paycheck."

Geez, Jon is acting a bit nutzola, lately. Paranoid, accusative, none of it solid and to the point, rather rambling, and childish behavior. Go Kate!

Kate treated Jon poorly. No question. Anyone wonder why? Things don't happen in a vacuum. Not blaming "the victim" just wondering why he put up with it.

He is not responsible for Kate's behavior but he is responsible for his behavior. Things he says are on the airwaves forever. He still has a responsibility to the children. The children will read it all eventually.

Let's hope there is enough money, somewhere, for the kids to eat while the parents fight it out.

Again I will say this, Kate loves the attention and the money and what the show gives her and the kids. Who wouldn't but today she said on the Today show that Jon never said anything about not wanting to do the show. Oh do I dissagree, back at the end of the 4th season he said very clearly he wanted it to end and she said Well we can't. I understand they need the money now, but back when they had the other house they could have lived on his paycheck, but that house and the vacations have to be paid for now. Of course she needs the show to continue, I mean anyone can get seduced with everything TLC gave them, but she is no angel and right now they both need to slow down and get off tv for awhile and keep their mouths shut. He is wrong too now but to say that this was the first time she ever heard this about the show from him is a complete lie.

Bette, you are soo right... A few of us remember Jon saying he wants the show to end...

Kate SAID NO... You know why? Kate took care of all the money... Jon was fooled with what Kate told him how much they earned after taxes... How could they earn one MILLION dollars and end up with only 500 thousand dollars after taxes... They don't have a manager that takes 10% of their income. Anyone that makes over 110 thousand dollars a year don't have to pay social security after $110,000. a year. They have soo many exemptions that there is no way the Gov. will take half, unless she wanted it that way, for income-TAX return, or for a tax shelter of some weird kind. She is a slick operator and Jon is just now waking up to that....

Take a VOTE to pull the plug on Jon and/or Kate plus 8... Get them both off the air..

All in favor, say YES... All that oppose, say NO..
Then send the results to TLC... Let them decide if they still want to see if they can make another $187,000.000.00 (one hundred eighty million) off them???

Why do we know about all this? He said, she said! They should take the 2 + million dollars they made and quit the show and have a great life without the cameras. Not enough money for groceries and to pay the bills? Someone must have spent it! Should have been happy with the house you had and not gotten that million $ one. Heard they got rid of the dogs! Shame on them if that is true.

Is anyone really surprised at his childish actions? Kate and the kids have been the breadwinners for this family. Jon sits and moans, then goes out to party with his various hook-ups. It's time for him to grow up...and oh yea, pay child support.

It is obvious that this (breakup)is becoming very dirty and very publicly opinionated. Who knows for sure who cheated on who and who took what? There are and always have been two sides to the story.

However, after watching some of the earlier episodes and witnessing how Kate treated Jon on TV, and God knows how in private, he should have left her a long time ago! I was in that type of relationship for 25 years and can only say the belittling and public harrassment has yet to cease, even after six years of seperatness.

For those of you that do not know what you are talking about. On the season premier Jon set in the chair right beside Kate and said he wanted the show and all of the stuff to end so they could get along or split normally. Kate said NO. She wanted to keep the show going at whatever expense. That was the last time I watched the show. I just love how everyone is ready to slam Jon for cheating. Remeber people Kate was hardly ever home. She was traveling with her bodyguard/boyfriend. That she has even bought a house in a diff town close to him so she could stay there when Jon was at the home with the kids. They are both at fault. He should have just put his foot down instead of taking the path that he did. But who knows who cheated first. The 230K that is missing is probably where the money went. But the person that said she wrote the book and Jon had nothing to do with it. He was her husband at the time, had input on the book at the time. those two things is enough to entitle him to half.

Kate comes out and speaks nice and calm ( by the way is told to do so) to make Jon look bad just by being sweet!! B.S. Where was the nice and sweet talk when she put him down for 4 years on the show.... I will never forget when they were in the toy store.... Kate was screaming at Jon all the way across the store, like he was a piece of SH***. Jon just left the store without a word in pure humiliation!

Take a vote........ All you that wants TLC to pull the plug on Jon or Kate plus 8 and put a end of this show.... VOTE YES to end the show once and for all. Then send the poll to TLC to take the show off the air........ Those that oppose... Do the same...

I totally agree with the writer who said they had 11 accounts that 8 of them are set aside for the kids. 1 for Kate 1 for Jon and 1 for the house expenses. It amazes me how a man who says he loves his kids acts more childish than the 5 year olds.

Well, i think this is all a big joke. If Kate does not have any money to pay her bills. then how can she BUY A RING WITH EIGHT DIMOANDS AND A MOTHER OF PEARL. I am sure that is not going to be cheap. She stated that she was to take the kids to see the Statue of Liberty Monday, but she could not because the show stop. WELL what is stopping her from still taking them. OH that is right she wants the show to pay for everything. If she was a real mother she would take them regardless if the show was running or not. So as it stands. She is in it for nothing but the money. And will not do anything for the kids unles someone else pays the bill. Go Figure. Maybe they both need to get a real JOB!!!!!!!!

Hon, I don't know if this is true with Kate and Jon, but I do know that a lot of the celebs that wear expensive designer gowns, tuxes, and all sorts of expensive jewelry to premieres don't own what they wear. Even on some shows. The company that owns the jewelry, clothes and all let them use it in exchange for their name being out there. That's why you often get things like so-and-so wearing a Dior gown and Tiffany necklace in the credits and sometimes spoken. Sometimes the designers give them the clothes, and sometimes they have to give them back.

Dunno if that happens with Kate, but Jon WAS being paid to wear certian clothes, I heard.

divorce is hard on anyone. i think jon needs to stop going on tv and say he's going to change and really change. the thing i feel bad the most is that in season 4 they renewed their vows. how sad that the kids saw that and now see this. the only good news is that they are not allowed to watch tv.

tmg071460......... You are so right... That woman has soo much money, she hoards it all for heself... Jon let Kate handle all the money for years. Now that he is away from her... He wants his share. It wasn't until his attorney said TLC was in violation of the children's work rights that Kate put money in each and every childs bank trust fund.

You are also right about the trip to New York for the kids... She is in New York right now... Why didn't she keep the promise to the kids and take them??? I'll tell you why... She would have to pay for all the kids way, when TLC was supposed to fork the bill, not only that, she would have to pay for the help to take care of the kids and the burden would be on her to put up with 8 kids.

She has everything for free with TLC. Including that MILLION dollar house... Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free??????????
