Lindsay Lohan Wells Up During Wobbly Fashion Debut

Lindsay Lohan couldn't help but get emotional after debuting her first collection with designers Emanuel Ungaro at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday. The 'Freaky Friday' actress appeared to be crying as she clung to head designer Estrella Archs during their post-show bow.

Lohan spent a few weeks as an "artistic adviser" to Archs and her efforts were met with muted applause and mouths agape by attendees.

Expectations going into the show were low. Still, the collection was not the utter disaster that many had - almost gleefully - predicted. It was chock-full of more of the ultra-mini party girl dresses that have flooded Paris' catwalks this season, but it also had some nice, wearable suits that harkened back to Ungaro's heyday in the 1980s.

More questionable looks included a white bustier dress so short it left the model's rear hanging out, spandex bandeau tops and a suit worn with nothing more substantial underneath than sparkling heart-shaped pasties. Bafflingly, many of the models had larger versions of the pasties affixed to their foreheads.

Asked how their collaboration had worked, Lohan explained, "We both kind of mixed our (ideas) together, and that's why it came out so well."

"I really appreciate everything that goes into, like, any article of clothing. I think it's fantastic and I think it's so expressive in so many ways," Lohan told reporters.

Ungaro CEO and President Mounir Moufarrige, a Lebanese-born businessman who has made a career of reviving musty old labels, said he was pleased with what he had seen on the catwalk.

"I'm happy and have a really positive impression," said Moufarrige, who has had struggled to change Ungaro's staid image to appeal to a younger demographic.

If his latest strategy works, and Lohan's star appeal lures in the elusive 30-and-under demographic Moufarrige so has been so desperately seeking, it could spark a wave of celebrity recruitment by fashion houses.

Asked if she had dreamed of becoming a designer, Lohan replied, "Yes, I've always kind of wanted. This is surreal right now, I don't think it's hit me yet. Maybe tomorrow, or in a week."

Dear Lindsay,
You refuse to eat and look like a skeleton and yet you use fake fillers to plump your cheeks,lips and wherever else! You have gone from a naturally pretty girl to the 2009 version of Michael Jackson.
PLEASE get help immediately before all you do ruins your looks and career forever!

She looks 33 not 23. She's lived a hard life and it shows. If she had a brain in her head, she would take a year off (somewhere where no one can hound her), clean herself up and try to make a decent comeback. Sadly, she likes being on camera no matter what, and no matter how bad she looks. I feel sorry for her. I don't think she has had any guidance from anybody, especially her "mother" and I say that with tongue in cheek.

WEbbigail, and everybody else, you're all right. Lindsey looks like a skeleton now. What happened to her!?!?! When she was younger she looked beautiful. When she made that movie remake where she played twin sisters (I forget the name of it but it was a good movie!) she looked so pretty! Yes, she was just a kid, but she was a pretty kid. She looked so much better then. She had some meat on her bones, which gave her body some substance. Now she looks like another one of those ugly fashion models - skin on bones and not much in-between. Lindsey, EAT SOME FOOD! REAL FOOD! Get something in your belly and keep it there, none of this "eat and run to the bathroom and puke it all up" nonsense. You are going down the wrong road. Straighten out and eat!!

I couldn't agree more....Lindsey's natural hair color and features, are much more attractive than the blonde bimbo look, and all the fake fillers...Get off the party train and get your life back in order.

This girl is a joke. You look at what is going on in the country with unemployment, health care etc., and you look at all that has been given to Ms. Lohan and how she thinks she is entitled and it makes it very difficult to support anything she does. -

also her blonde hair makes her pale out. add to that the make is done the way she wants it for her line, which is edgy. at times it works at other times, not.

There are so many "twines" designs that it is impossible for me to find any clothes. I am 50 years old and these items would fit me but I do not wish that to dress in the stupid designs out today. I shop e-bay and get what I want.

She can look beautiful when they clean her up and she's on a magazine shoot. Left to her own devices, she looks like a used up, cheap piece of trash.

That model up there looks like the walking dead, how awful she looks, that's no way to sell cloths, let me tell you. No one could tell how the clothes will look on a real person, because it looked awful on that skeleton.

Dear GAWD..she looks HORRIBLE. She does not even look like she used to. She does not look healthy at all, her hair is a horrid color for her skin tone, and her face..what is WRONG with her face as it looks messed up? WHAT HAS SHE DONE TO HERSELF? She is on the road to self destruction big time. SHE NEEDS A REALITY CHECK ON HERSELF. If she thinks she looks hot she best think again, if she thinks she can act she best think again, and if she believes she is a fashion designer than I wanna know what she is smoking in her pipe as she id delusional as all can be as her stuff SUCKS. I have always like Lindsay Lohan as an actress. But as an individual, she is a mess. What is she, 20-21 years old? She looks like she's 40! This girl is going to hell in a handbasket. She needs a stabilizing influence in her life. Sorry to say, but she looks like a tragedy waiting to happen.
