Nicole Richie Involved In Car Accident

While driving around Beverly Hills, Nicole Richie was rear-ended by a car driven by a photographer, TMZ reports. According to reports, Richie claimed she was in pain but told authorities she would see her own private doctors. The driver of the other car is being cited for being an unlicensed driver and his car is being impounded.

Richie had an adult male passenger in the car, but there is no word on his condition. Her two children Sparrow James Midnight Madden and Harlow Winter Kate Madden were not in the car with her.

Edwardo Arrivebene, 29, a freelance photographer, was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license, Beverly Hills police Lt. Mike Hill told the AP. RadarOnline.com Has Video of the Arrest

Jude Law is accused of deliberately hitting a female photographer outside a restaurant in the early hours of July 23. "He hit me full on the face, it was a real stinger," says Harsha Gopal, who is considering legal action against the actor. He claims he was blinded by all the flashes and hit her accidentally.

According to the photo agency Bauer-Griffin, Guttenberg was "was munching on a banana after a jog" when he "suddenly became wildly angry, motioning to punch a photographer and grabbing at a videographer's camera."

Hugh Grant kicked a TMZ photographer in the groin while he was leaving The Waverly Inn in New York. But this isn't his first paparazzi "run in." In April 2007, Grant hurled a container of baked beans at a photographer lurking outside his home. According to the paparazzo, Grant left him "bruised, battered" and covered in the saucy legumes. The 'Bridget Jones' actor was arrested but never charged.

i dont know why there arent laws against this type of irresponsible behavior. i know they claim to be doing their job but it seems to me they are just stalkers with a camera. god forbid this womans small children had been in the car. what is it going to take for this to stop.

Let us go back in 1997, when you were chasing the late great humanitarian Diana Spencer, also known as Princess of Wales. Do you not remember Aug. 31, 1997, when you, wanting to get photos of her, chased her in her car, and you in yours?? You were 50%(the other 50% the drunk Henri Paul who was driving her, trying to out run your vehicles. responsible in the crash that killed her because you were chasing her, just to get a story and photos. If you want to get a picture of a celeb, do it in a non-intrusive manner and a distance that doesn't threaten the celeb, other innocent people on the road, and of course, your own pathetic life....Can I get an 'AMEN' anyone???

AMEN!!! I understand that celebrities are big news and big business. However, one should respect their privacy and not risk life and limb for a few pictures. For some, the pictures are looked at discussed and then something else new takes that place. Didn't something similiar happen to Brittany Spears but maybe her kids were with her?

AMEN,Michael! I agree with ya 100%! The paparazzi need to take photos of celebs from a distance and not make it where the celeb and family need to out-run you! I don't think anything will change though. I hope Nicole Riche is doing fine physically. I can't imagine what these celebs have to go through everyday of their lives!!
