What does that have to do with Tony Roberts?
Sounds like a stroke. Poor guy.

That's the first thing that came to my mind. I was my mother's caregiver. She had a major stroke in 1995, and then a milder one in 2006. It goes to show you that you never know how dramatically changed your life can end up being before the day is over. My mother was quite active and was in fairly good health (in spite of her smoking). While we were enjoying ourselves at a shopping mall all of a sudden with no warning that anything was wrong she started talking jibberish and was drooling a bit. She ended up in the ER with a major CVA, or stroke. I felt so helpless, and it was sad seeing such an active and independent woman end up in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Thankfully she was able to recover most of her speech, but she did sometimes get confused while talking.
I agree. My dad did the same thing when he had a stroke.
Exactly what I was going to say, or a TIA...ldb
Yup - sounds like it to me too. It could be a case for Dr. House though. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Tony.
I really hope that it's not something as serious as a stroke!

When that Japanese official spoke gibberish, he was forced to quit and was found dead yesterday. People need to realize there can be an underlying medical reason for irrational behavior of any kind. I'm diabetic and when my blood sugar is low, I get soooo irritated and impatient, and as soon as I eat something, within seconds I am fine.

I hope this gentleman recovers. It seem if Popeater knows he is recovering in the hospital they might have told us what he was recovering from. There are so many things that can bring about such episodes. Low or high blood sugar, (my daughter has Type I and does with high or low talk gibberish), a stroke/CVA or some time the warning TIA. In the twinkling of an eye, life can change for better or for worse.

Sounds like a stroke to me too, although high or low blood sugar can cause the same symptoms. When my sugar crashes. I become incoherent and can lose whole hours of my life until I have a glass of milk or get to my glucose tabs. But if three doctors came to a conclusion that fast and they canceled the show right away, it was probably a stroke.
Too bad. I have always been a fan of Tony Roberts. Prayers for him and his family and a wish for a speedy and complete recovery.

I'VE KNOWN THE AN FOR YEARS, SO I'LL SAVE ALL THE STORIES AND WISH HIM AND HIS DAUGHTER AND HER MOTHER ALL THE BEST.

I thought actors were supposed to "break a leg", not a blood vessel in his brain. If this is a stroke, it ain't of luck. All jokes aside, I wish for him only the best and a speedy recovery from whatever ails him. I've enjoyed his work for decades and hope to have the opportunity to enjoy it some more. Get well soon.
