Elizabeth Taylor says she's headed to the hospital for a heart procedure. The 77-year-old actress tells her followers on Twitter that she is to undergo a "very new" procedure to improve heart function that "involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device" rather than open-heart surgery. She said that she plans to inform her followers when the procedure is complete.
"Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate," Taylor wrote Tuesday.
"Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart," she wrote. "It's very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better."
'Annie Hall' actor Tony Roberts, 69, was hospitalized on Oct. 4 after falling ill during a performance of 'The Royal Family' on Broadway. Audience members say he was "talking gibberish" for several minutes before the show was stopped.

Dear Liz, I pray it is simple and you recover well. You have been through so much. You are such a strong and determined women. You will bounce back, as you always have!!!
How perfect has your life been? What have you done? Should we know you by name as Mr. Wonderful? What makes you an expert on her and her life to be able to judge...I guess that you are not human and walk on water and your elimination products don't stink???
Elizabeth, you've been in my thoughts and prayers for such a long time. You have conquered the most incrediable challenges of anyone and you've survied them all. This too will be another for you.
