'Little Britain USA' star Matt Lucas' former partner was found dead on Monday after declaring on his Facebook page that "death is much better than life." The Sun reports that Kevin McGee, pictured at right with Lucas, was found hanged in his apartment after police were alerted of his statement, posted three hours earlier. He was 32.Other friends continued to comment on McGee's grim statement, with one person noting "That's a bit dark, Kev!"
Lucas, 35, and McGee held a civil partnership ceremony in Dec. 2006. Elton John and Will Young were among the stars to attend the London event. But McGee's well-documented drug habit sunk the relationship and they broke up late last year.
The comedian pulled out of a starring role in a West End play "until further notice."
Like the British sketch series of the same name, HBO's 'Little Britain USA' features Lucas and David Walliams playing a series of buffoonish characters, including a pair of hunters who only shoot tiny animals, and bank robbers that keep chickening out.

How is it in relationships, one looks so mismatched than the other. Th goodlooking one took his life? Gay life is so confusing.

so is straight life
And what about these ugly musicians or stars or sports guys who have really good looking wives? I mean some of them could do dogfood commercials in my opinion....Matt Lucas obviously makes good money as a comedian. To some people love means a big checkbook.
YOU ARE AN IDIOT...
That's very sad, but the guy was addicted to drugs. He obviously had problems. Next time Matt, find somebody who isn't a druggie to be your spouse...I am sorry for your loss but things happen...

You can thank drugs again for this death. People who can't get off drugs do try to take there life. Don't start the drugs! We have drugs dealers and the court system to thank. Schools are to blame they teach kids all about drugs in the 6th grade. My son once came home and said my health teacher made drugs sound so good! Tell tell the kids not to do it and then tell them how great it make you feel. So, I am not surprised when I hear how many people do drugs. They need to show the kids what is does to the organ and how people live on the street when they are strung out!

They did that for years with cigarettes. Fingers yellow from nicotine. People coughing their fool heads off. Pictures of healthy pink lungs versus smokers discolored, almost black lungs. Didn't put a dent in smoking. Then the financial cost just got too high. Bingo!
SOUNDS LIKE YOUR SON HAS AN ADDICTIVE PERSONALITY.. BETTER KEEP A REAL CLOSE EYE ON HIM AND WHO HE ASSOCIATES WITH!
Oh man, do we need to see this sort of sordid trash?

Nothing made you click on the story. I just don't understand why people keep complaining about stories they don't like. Skip it after the headlines or as soon as you discover it's something you don't want to read about.
Emily:
Apparently you are the type of person who reads this trash and avidly follows this sordid dreck. Well, when it is posted as national news and I click on the headline I will read it. I was thinking someone had a horrible ailment or illness and took their own life. Then I see this yuck I just have to shake my head. Never heard of these "guys' or the show for that matter, but I guess you have. Oh yeah, the networks need people like you who flock to that sort of dreck. Keep watching. If I want you to have an opinion on something I posted I will give it to you - otherwise STFU.
Bill,
What century are you from??? Grow up!
Matt Lucas is one of the funniest, talented people around and I am sorry for whatever pain he is going through now. Gay or straight, doesn't matter here, does it?

Bill, don't be so afraid! It is fear of your own gay propensities that causes you to 'hate' any mention of gays. Poor boy...

Betty, Andreia, Jules and all the rest of you:
You know what is amazingly ironic about this? I could find news articles of great social relevance (ever heard of that concept?) and post controversial answers for an entire year, let's say on topics like health care reform; two ill begotten wars our Country is in; Bush's failed presidency; the economic collapse; the stock market, ad infinitum and never NEVER - that's N-E-V-E-R receive a response post from anybody. Ever.
Yet I post on a topic such as this sordid dreck and I literally get hundreds of reply from supposedly "high minded" proselytizers like you berating me because I am insensitive to gays (how you might come to that conclusion is anyone's guess). Yikes, what is this world coming to?
Are there really that many of you that consider this trash of social relevance? Yeah, sadly the answer appears to be yes. The Jerry Springer crowd of the internet. Losers all
To make a joke from the situation tells us exactly what type a man he is. He is an insult to the morality of people all over the world. He has no idea how to apologies without making a joke while doing it. He should be terminated for breaking the rules set forth for him and all who work for the company.
Happy commenting, and keep it classy. are you telling me to accept this behavior?

Wes, How shallow are you? Get out much? Half of Hollywood's beautys are married to plain looking guys. What does Gay have to do with this? So only the non "beautiful" should die? WOW. You need a life and to get help. I bet you are single and alone and bitter. Loser

Dear Bill,
Which part of the headline got your attention? The DEAD part I bet. So how is it that you are better than anyone else? You are reading the same "dreck" as the rest of us and just as avidly since you read the entire story. And that line about if I want your opinion blah, blah, blah is as old as dirt and doesn't mean anything to anybody. This is my opinion and I am now giving it to you!
Sincerely,
Andreia Medlin

I sort of agree with Bill. It’s not that I’m insensitive about the guy passing away, but I’ve also never heard of him and even if I had, why do we need to have a front page story about another guy with a screwed up life who took drugs and died? How about more stories about people who aren't millionaires (or married to one) who really have it tough everyday trying to find work, pay bills and raise kids and who manage to triumph. I think we are jaded a bit by the poor self-centered jet setters who cant seem to resist the urge to spend a large portion of their money on self indulgence rather than being responsible adults who actually contribute to society. I can’t understand the stories that get ran sometimes. Its sort of like this whole Kate and Jon thing. Bottom line is that these two idiots deserve to have kids about as much as Elvis deserved his black belt, but everyday we get bombarded with the every tiny, self-centered, decision they make. My grandmother had 11 kids and worked hard on a farm all her life...why didn’t she get a show?
He without fault cast the first stone. Mr. Letterman's business is on TV because of who he is. This is nothing new; it's happening right now somewhere all over the world as we communicate. The of-aged females should be just as accountable as the of-aged males.
