Pregnant Padma Shows Off Baby Bump

'Top Chef' host Padma Lakshmi arrived at The Cinema Society and Target screening of 'Good Hair' at the IFC Center on Oct. 5 decked out in a tight-fitting black dressed that exposed her growing baby belly.

Lakskmi announced that she is pregnant with her first child, but the father has not been revealed, although reports suggest she has been linked to IMG CEO Ted Forstmann.

The 'Chef' star was formerly married to novelist Salman Rushdie.

I never liked David Letterman. I have always thought him to be nasty, rude, disrespectful and creepy. His wife is nothing to brag about but I can't believe anyone on his staff would have relations with him.

I don't care if Padma is pregnant, but If I were in her place I would be embarassed if people were tring to guess who the father is. I'm not surprised by Dave's behavior. He is a liberal politically and in his personal relationships. I would be surprised if Jay Leno had been the one.

People, when will you realize that political affiliation has NOTHING to do with the morals of a person?! Saying that the reason that Letterman cheated is because he is a liberal is ridiculous, when we have plainly seen that just as many conservatives have been in the press for cheating on their spouses. We are humans and we are ALL flawed. So don't get all holier-than-thou for our day of reckoning is at hand. I will stand there alone to account for my actions and so will you. Please put the stones down, people and live your own lives to the best of your abilities.

HELLO.....Letterman DID NOT cheat on his wife. He wasn't married to Regina until March of 2009. What is the big deal that some celebrity slept with someone?....it happens every day....all day long.

RMT: You win the prize for being the biggest ass on this site. What in hell is with the questions? You don't need to know anything about this woman's pregnancy. There is always some mindless dolt who tries to make a controversy where none exists. Here is more information than you are entitled to: Model, author, and Emmy-nominated Padma Lakshmi confirms that she is carrying her first child after years of struggling with endometriosis, a cause for which she has co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America. As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi's privacy at this time." So put your questions where you never wash and get lost.

Bill Stehl (hmm, initials BS), if making an innocent comment on the "appearance" of Padma's belly makes me the "biggest ass" on this site (personally I think it's the people who write comments that have NOTHING to do with the particular article), then so be it. If you re-read my post, there are no "all these questions". I asked no question. I made a comment. While attempting to exercise my right to free speech by making a casual observation, I was also attempting to be "light" when mentioning that I hoped she was NOT pulling an octomom (but guess more folks really like the octomom than I gave people enough intelligent credit for, so I must have offended you and a few others) by having had invitro and carrying 8 fetuses. Regardless, I wasn't "slamming" Padma, just making the observation that her belly doesn't LOOK like a first-time around pregnant woman in her first trimester, which it doesn't! I didn't say that I KNEW she was furthur along, but let's wait and see when the baby is born, and then we'll know if my "suggestion" was right or not. Nothing controversial about that, right? Now please get over yourself about being this site's judge on whose comment(s) is/appropriate or not.
