Osmond Gives Gosselin Parenting Advice

It was round two on 'The Insider' last night, with Jon Gosselin squaring off with 'Real Housewives' star Bethenny Frankel and ... Donny Osmond? The '70s hearthrob implored the 'Jon & Kate Plus Eight' star to move his battle with Kate Gosselin behind the scenes. Frankel mirrored that sentiment, but slammed Gosselin in harsher terms: "I think you're defeated. You need to pull yourself up from your bootstraps and get back to your kids and get your crap together," Frankel said. "You need to pull it together."

When will Jon Gosselin learn that his behavior has definitely lost him some of the sympathy he previously had. Someone asked him why he had to rent an apartment in NYC instead of in Pa. to be closer to his kids. He said it was to start his new career. Nobody asked what that career was going to be. So Jon, what is your new career that requires you to have a $5000. a month apartment in NYC???

Not only did he buy himself an expensive apartment in NYC...He also tools around the city in a very expensive brand new car...Besides the expensive trip for two to the French Rivera where he took his drug dealing girlfriend that was busted for selling pot, hash and hashish oil...All his clothes...His meals...Medical, dental and insurance...Personal hygenie and fancy hair styling salon appointments...4 carat Diamond studded earrings...Maintainance and auto/motorcycle insurance...All of this was thanks to his children earnings and the household account...And Porky the Pig of a Prince Charming here...He couldn't even walk out of a NYC bakery with the correct spelling of one of his daughters first name on her birthday cake and he balmerd it on someone else...Dud, before they box up the birhtday cake they show you the cake for your approval, the moron of a man.

I'm sorry - but what happened to the infamous bodyguard situation? Although I am not a big fan of either one - I'm less of a fan of Kate - seems to me that Jon just recently started having fun. Where's the rest of the money Kate??

First of all I have not picked a side, but heres the deal... if you want your kids off TV and out of the news then keep yourself out of it.
STOP making the TV rounds, STOP participating in questionable activity, JUST STOP. Kate wants the show to continue, and wants to be on TV but JON is the one with all the apperances. Kate hosts and JOn is a guest. Those roles differ greatly. Should these people have enough money saved to live happy and comftorable... HELL YEAH. But I think they NOW live beyond their means.... and will eventually be screwed.

I kind of agree with you... but... TLC should just pull the plug on the whole thing!!! And for once, just ONCE TLC "People In Charge" think about these 8 children and NOT YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS.. and that goes for you KATE!!! and Jon... Divorce is bad enough between husband and wife, then add children, and now TV.. come on.. get smart KATE!!!! THIS IS NOT A JOB!!! Your living beyond your means, you made this choice, stop crying about it.. we don't want to hear about it any more! I loved the show.. but now.. Unfortunately a family that large really needs a huge income to survive. College costs alone for 8 kids could run upwards of $150,000. each once they graduate high school. Kate is trying to make a living for the here and now AND put away for the future. Jon is only trying to live for himself today and he's really not thinking about tomorrow. If he pulls the plug on the show, will he get a job that pays at least $100,000. a year? Can he afford the apartment at $5000. a month AND the mortgage on the house? What about all the legal costs all of this will cost the two of them if they continue on this path? Step aside Jon, let Kate have her career and give you an allowance. You can just be an ocassional guest on the new show. That's all you really want anyway isn't it. You'd rather be playing with the blonde girlfriends right?

I'm with you, Ronda. I am so sick of these people. Kate was crying the other day on a morning show that now that Jon took all the money, the kids couldn't go to N.Y. and see the statue of liberty as promised them. Boo hoo. Lisa Ling on the View came out and asked her why she doesn't get a job. They swept that comment under the carpet real quick. Why do people watch this crap? Why are they still on the news? Get a life people. Do they know what they are doing to those kids?
I'm only writing because I am sick of hearing about and seeing them on every channel, every morning show and all the news.
Get real jobs like "reality" people!!!

It's funny how many people keep complaining here about not being interested in Jon and Kate or ever watching the show, yet they keep reading and posting. Admit it, you love reading about all their problems.

I thought Donny Osmond's advice to Jon was spot on. Get off the TV and out of the media spotlight and go talk to Kate and get all your differences ironed out. Act like adults and get your poop together for the sake of your kids. You don't have to like each other but at least learn to be civil.

It amazes me how people can turn so quickly. I am not a fan of the show, but I would read the blogs. All they talked about was how AWFUL she treated him....talked to him like he was a dog. He finally gets fed up and leaves and he's the bad guy? Please folks, she's soooo in it for the money. I mean, he is/was dating Kate's PLASTIC SURGEON's daughter. Thing is, if everybody would quit "weighing in", they might would go away. It would be better for their EIGHT children.

Some of your comments i agree on. She had Plastic surgery after 8 babies. He had HAIR IMPLANTS, or did not anyone see that horrible show? He is a sleeze ball, but at least she stayed with her 8 children and did not sleep with everything walking down the street. She has a nursing degree. He has a slime ball degree.

I could care less about who is right and who is wrong. All I do have to say is they have multiple bank accounts, use money from one of those accounts to pay bills.What about having a seperate account that ONLY pays living expenses? I am sure moving into that very expensive house and all IS very expensive but in this economy everyone should be cutting back. And what about all the money that Kate gets for her book and the shows she appears on? Can she not dip into her own money to feed her kids?

I agree that Jon and Kate need to stop doing all of this so publicly. It's not good for the kids to see or listen to. Think of them and not yourselves! This is not good and think of how embarassing it is for them and for you! You need to be doing this behind closed doors among the two of you and not in front of the media. Start thinking of your kids and family. We are tired of watching and hearing it, and I'm sure the kids are! Your kids learn by example, this is not a good example of good parenting. Do you want your kids to hate you? That's what going to happen if you don't stop! You both need to grow up and do this in private among yourselves!

Marjie, I saw the clip with Lisa Ling asking the question about why Kate doesn't get a job also. She should now be referred to as Lisa Ding-a-Ling! Can you imagine the size of the day care bill they would have? Let the family do the show! Otherwise we'll all be paying for these kids, their care and education, not to mention Jon's Mercedes and BMW, AND his apartment in New York! He appears to have a lot of time on his hands...why doesn't HE work??!!

Hello, I know people that hAVE more than eight kids and have real jobs. they are doing just fine. Kate kids are already in school they dont need day care.Instead of spending money on vacation and spas. She should have saved all the money from the show.She deserves what she gets. For treating Jon like a dog. She is always was saying, I have to do what is right for the kids .I never heard her say, ihave to do what is best for my marriage . She should have being taking care of her husband.

This has all turned into a big "ego" contest. Jon and Kate both want the public's favor, so they go on all these nationally televised shows and plead their cases.
Up until a few days ago, I was on Kate's side. Jon's behavior was ridiculous and inmature and I defended her to my fellow Jon and Kate fans...

However, I have to say, that I agree that as long as there is this nasty back and forth between them both, that the show should go away for a while. This is not healthy for the kids and frankly, it is very sad to watch this family and every component of it deteriorate before our eyes.

I think that Kate should move on to other projects that don't involve the kids and maybe they should do some family specials 2-3 times a year. That way, she could support her family and we can still see the kids every so often.

This is not a normal family life...it never has been whether on TV or not...but this public back and forth is just inmature and unhealthy.
