Ugly Brinkley Divorce Gets Even Uglier

Despite their divorce being official for a year, things are far from amicable for supermodel Christie Brinkley and her ex-husband Peter Cook. The two were in court on Wednesday sparring over terms of their settlement, with each accusing the other of ill-doing involving the couple's children and asking that each other be jailed.

Cook and his attorneys claim that Brinkley is attempting to sabotage the father's relationship with his children. He claims that Brinkley refused to turn over son Jack's passport in a timely fashion, which caused him to miss a school trip to Israel that was supposed to be chaperoned by Cook.

"She is doing everything she can to ruin my relationship with my kids ... I am trying to move on with my life and I wish she would do the same," Cook told the New York Post.

Due to this and other violations that Cook is claiming, his legal team is
Brinkley's lawyer Peter Caronia calls Cook's claims "without merit and totally disingenuous," saying that Brinkley was late in handing the passport over because of the death of a friend's mother and Cook's refusal to pick it up himself.

Cook asked for Brinkley to be imprisoned and forced to take anger management classes, and also wants additional child visitation rights. Brinkley claims that Cook is in the wrong for talking about their case on talk shows and also letting his new girlfriend to spend time with their children. She also wants Cook jailed, and asked for reimbursement of legal fees and to be paid from the sale of the couple's old boat.

The divorce between Brinkley and Cook turned very ugly and very public when Cook's affair with a teenage store clerk became public.

I am really sick of both of them. I feel bad for the children. They both need to get over themselves and make sure their children don't suffer anymore. Cook is a cheater and a loser and Christy, thought beautiful is co-dependent.

In the case of the passport, Brinkley was wrong. She has an assistant to handle things like this, and then there is Plan B... FedEx or UPS. Cook could have perhaps picked the passport up, but with these two so unwilling to flex their schedules come hell or high water, he probably would have been made to make several trips to get it. Outside of that, these two will be at it forever. I only feel sorry for their poor kids.

First of all, Christie Brinkley's first husband was killed in a motocycle accident. Billy Joel, was controlling, the third Ricky Taubman, yes, a big mistake as he was stealing from her! This guy, cheated with an underage girl. I really believe some believe just have lousy luck picking life partners. I am sure she wanted her marriages to work, but I firmly believe she is way too trusting. I doubt she will ever marry again which perhaps is best! In this situation, yes unfortunately the children suffer - BUT PETER COOK CAUSED THE WHOLE THING BY MESSING WITH A 19 YEAR OLD. HE'S A PIG!! I ALSO FEEL HE IS CAUSING ALL THE TROUBLE OVER A PASSPORT. THEY ARE DIVORCED - IF YOU WANTED THE CHILD'S PASSPORT, GO PICK IT UP YOURSELF IF SHE COULD NOT DO IT INSTEAD OF USING TAXPAYER'S MONEY TO GO TO COURT!!! Actually Peter Cook made millions for Christy in Real Estate, he would design houses, build them and turn over the profit from the sales to her, she made millions from him! So he wasnt getting any at home and looked elsewhere, 4 years later she is still being vindictive and costing her son a trip with his dad, please! Its not an attractive look for you Christy!

Husband #1 is alive and well. He's a college professor in MA. He's French.
#2 is fiance Oliver Chandon who was killed in a racing accident.
#3 husband is Billy Joel who she had daughter Alexa Ray with. She cheated on Joel with Rick Taubman. Brinkley and Taubman were nearly killed in a helicopter crash in CO. She got pregnant by Taubman, married him, and had a son: Jack Paris. She divorced Taubman and got full custody of her son.
#4 husband is Cook. She has a daughter with him; Sailor. She gushed about him on every talk show. He was hooked on internet porn and cheated on her with a teenager. Skeevy guy.
Sad story for such a pretty lady.

While this is not a typical divorce ... they are both well off financially and famous people, especially Christie ... sabotaging or "poisoning" the children towards the exmate is common practice. I experienced this first hand in my divorce. If the kids are young, it takes them years to figure it out, but they will figure it out if the tainted spouse maintains a steady course.

I also understand the "scorned woman" syndrome. The ex wife usually feels justified in doing or saying whatever she wants in order to inflict as much pain as possible on the ex husband. While I "understand" this, it doesn't make it right, healthy, or productive.

The badgering needs to stop ... both sides!

My ex and I fought like that for two years. He was a deciding factor in my "retaliations" but that didn't make it any easier to get over that bridge and not destroy our children while trying to do it. I am at the point where I am learning to overlook his crap...like his not paying my awarded alimony after a 23 year marriage and my giving up my career to raise our kids. He is repeatedly ridiculous when the kids want to do something with me by not cooperating, thinking he is hurting me and not the kids. I even gave him custody of the children because of all the nonsense. He is still playing his games, but I have not been participating for a year now. Guess what? I win....My Kids Win. Someone has to be the smarter of the two and quit it. If not....they are both going to go down in flames. If you are better than the other guy, then you should be better and stop it....wow, that would mean you are both better because you would both have stopped!
