Miley Quits Twitter for Her Boyfriend?

Singer Miley Cyrus has abruptly shut down her Twitter -- for no apparent reason. According to Perez Hilton, Cyrus tweeted that her rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth was not on Twitter and thought that she shouldn't have one either. And that's all she wrote. Within a matter of minutes, her site was shut down. Searching for @MileyCyrus will provide you with only a blank page.

Minor teenage tantrum? We're not sure. No word on if the 'Party In The U.S.A.' singer will ever be back on the social microblog.

On Wednesday evening, Cyrus wrote, "FYI Liam doesn't have a twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason."

In another tweet, she wrote, "I'm the happiest I've ever been & for that my family's SO grateful. So for LAME bloggers that don't know what they're talking about SHUT UP!"

Shortly after Cyrus had her Twitter account closed, her mom Tish Cyrus closed her personal account @MommyTish.

Trust me Miley you did the right thing. Too many weird and very strange people online these days. Keep your sanity and most of all your privacy intact by staying away from blogs ect exposing every little instance of who you are. I can understand where your boyfriend is comming from. Like you my exwife had a account on myspace. Turned out she was secretly seeing and talking to other men on the side and totally ignored her husband. Word to the wise, i'm not crying in my cornflakes. If you really truely love your mate then listen to them. Love has many many forms and what you did by cancelling your account at twitter shows you do have a heart for this guy and I commend you for your brave actions. God bless youand every one. :)

I don't care that she canceled her account, but I think it's stupid why she canceled it. She canceled it because her boyfriend told her too. That's pretty dumb on her part to cancel it for that reason.

I don't trust online social networks. Never have, never will. My father's offering me to join Facebook, but after someone tweeted their miscarriage, I'm totally against them. But Miley closing her account is just weird. I know people sympathize, but her tantrum was just out-of-bounds.

Like I told my ex if your going to be my woman ,it's about me not anyone else. Trouble with social networks is that some people get so wrapped up into it and their heads sort of swell from all the attention they recieve then they forget who they are and forget about the person they are sopposed to love. And before you know it they drift apart like two ships into the night. Nothing wrong with socializing but it if it hurts your other half's feelings it's not a good thing. What's more important to be the center of everyone's universe or to be the center of just one person's life. Love is commitment no matter what the cost even twitgter or myspace ect. People have had wonderfull relationships shattered over these kind of networks. If you want to be part of that kind of life style don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend it will only lead to disaster sooner or later.
