From his broad smile to his sleek suit, Michael Bublé oozes self-confidence. So, it's quite a surprise when the Canadian singer confides to PopEater that he's always felt uncomfortable in that now very successful skin of his, especially before he was famous.
"I think the reason I have come as far as I have stems from insecurity," Buble tells PopEater. "I can't speak for all the entertainers, but I'm sure there are lots of people in the business -- even in politics -- and the CEO's of enormous companies, who get there because insecurity pushes you. I sometimes think the brasher the celebrity or the artist, the more insecure they are."
Bublé's latest album, 'Crazy Love,' which is released Oct. 9, is another chapter in that growth, both personally and artistically. For one thing, he co-wrote two of the record's songs, 'Haven't Met You Yet' and 'Hold On.' But, as the title suggests, the 34-year-old Vancouver BC native, whose pop jazz albums have taken him to the top of the charts worldwide, is sticking with a familiar romantic theme, albeit one with warts and all. "Love is not just for Valentine's Day," he says. "Some of these songs are nothing to do with being in love," he says. "Some are about heartbreak, anger and basically the ugly side of love." Indeed, among 'Crazy Love's' kaleidoscopic emotional scope is a particularly bitter and aggressive cover of the classic torch song, 'Cry Me a River.'
"Yes, that's how best to explain who I am as a person ... I'm kidding," says Bublé, who's never far from a disarming joke. "I can see the headline already," he quips. "Michael Bublé: Bitter and Aggressive."
Watch Michael Buble's 'Just Haven't Met You Yet' Video
he's a good guy...i met him and he's very sarcastic and thinks the american press is a joke..he's canadian. most everything he says is tongue in cheek. he's a very real celeb...and i dig his singing too....great voice and good song choices...he kind of took over where harry connick left off...honoring the stndards.
Only recently discovered him - I'm into his music, I've never really cared one way or another about ANY performer's personal stuff. It's NOT what I listen to them for!
Michael Buble is my #1 favorite! Used to be Springsteen, now it's Michael. I think he has a good personality. He's funny! Love you Michael! I'll be buying up his new cd for christmas gifts.
Hi....i just want to say that the girl who is the video the blonde girl is actually his girlfriend ..she is an argentinian actress named Luisana Lopilatto......Michael has been traveling many times to Argentina to see her, he knows her family.....and they don't like the cameras, he brokes a ccamera from a photographer there in Argentina....so that's that i want to say...Viva Argentina!!!!! right Michael????/
Micky, Your the bomb, It is so unfair your on the front line now of the press, It is so hard being a entertainer in this world, you always in the snow globe being judged, Your voice is the most beautiful I have ever heard live, your show is outstanding, your presence on stage is captivating, keep up the great work, learn by your mistakes if there were ones, and Love that new girl will all your heart, and if it doesn't work out let you comn to me a great Homo very sure of himself and LOVES you the way you are, you can have the girls and I would love you regardless, Laugh out loud, Love you Michael, your the BOMB New York City here, get back here to the Radio City soon please we need you now, Break a leg with the new CD.
I am SO happy for Michael. When I worked for an airline charter company, I booked a round trip for Michael and his band which was a quick turnaround. They had just finished a performance in Canada at around 1am and had to be in NYC for an appearance on one of the morning shows in less than 6 hours(I have to obey confidentality issues) yet you'd never realize how tired or stressed he must have been. A total gentleman (although I'm a corporate flight attendant, this particular jet did not require one per FAA but this is from the pilots) and very humble.
I'm sure he doesn't read these comments as most celebrities don't read their reviews.
So, spare your breath and just enjoy his amazing talent.
Michael your voice is awesome and you are a modern day Sinatra for sure, watched Oprah today and couldn't believe that his Mom boycotted Oprah until her son was on her show...Michael you don't need Oprah to be on top, that's for sure!
Michael is the man!!!... I have seen him in concert and I have never laughed so hard, Hes almost more of a comedian than a singer. His personality is soo real. He is always at home when he is on stage. He doesn't even act like hes famous. He is very unique in every way. He is a true entertainer!!! He deserves everything he has accomplished he has worked very hard to get to where he is. I cant wait to see him in concert again.
His voice is great but nobody writes ballads anymore so all he's got to sing are oldies and whatever he can write himself. Thats too bad, because more and more kids are starting to realize most rock and pop is pretty bad these days. Forget rap--thats on its last legs, with only black guys still listening. Hang in there Michael-we're starting to listen!
There are plenty of rock musicians and pop musicians who would beg to differ. While there is much garbage that attempts to pollute the music industry there are MANY worthy artists who make up the industry to lump them all together is a bit ridiculous. Rap is far from being on its last leg, and hip-hop has become a cultural movement. Just because it doesn't get play on the radio 24/7 doesn't mean it isn't being produced or listened to. There are many "underground" hip-hop artists who amaze me with their lyrical power and delivery skills. Most great music is actually "hard" to find. I suggest you start looking deeper before you judge an entire genre. That being said, Michael Buble is an amazing singer who is lucky enough to fill a niche that isn't filled by many known/publicized artists. And he deserves the praise as he is very talented and has a stunning voice.

I like Michael Buble's voice.
In his interviews, he comes off as VERY conceited and arrogant...and, consequently, I have HATED HIS PERSONALITY.
This article explains it.
