Mike Tyson Doesn't Want to Know Details of Daughter's Death

Since the death of his 4-year-old daughter Exodus in May, Mike Tyson still remains unclear about the details, but he likes it that way. "Because if I know, then there might be a blame for it. And if there's somebody to blame for it, there will be a problem," Tyson admitted to Oprah Winfrey on her show set to air Monday, Oct. 12.

Tyson's 7-year-old son Miguel found Exodus entangled in a cord, dangling from an exercise treadmill at the family's Phoenix home. She subsequently died of her injuries a day later.

Tyson has been focusing more on his family in an attempt to overcome the tragic event and not react violently. "I was so happy that I had the tools in life, you know, to not go in that direction because I've been that direction," Tyson said (via PEOPLE.) "My family -- that's my biggest asset."

During the taping, he called his daughter "a little angel." Winfrey replied that she believes that's what Exodus has become.

"I don't know, Oprah. I'd like to believe that, and that sounds great," he said.

lets be real here, the girl lived with her mother in Phoenix ... Tyson had kids with this woman and stuck her in a home on the west side of Phoenix in a poor part of time. True he probably supported them, just another case of Tyson having children with all sorts of women. About three weeks after this daughters death he married another woman in Las Vegas where he was at the time of the child's death. Don't feel sorry for this pig

It seem that Mike infers that if he finds out who is to blame "there will be a problem". I might help him; I would blame the father that has spent his entire adult life as a thug, an absentee father, a wife beater, misoginist, convicted rapist, serial criminal and arrested juvinile delinquint... who in another life may have been at home with his family supervising this and many other of his childs activities.

Frank, do take a look in the mirror. Once you realize that you're not perfect, perhaps it will be easier to write worthy comments. Thank you for intelligently pointing out the truth. While the death of any child is tragic it does not change the truth about M. Tyson. I am sad that such a worthless individual can still be so well compensated by the american public. What is wrong with this picture? I do believe in kharma.

Frank, while your remarks about Tyson are very true, I don't blame him for the death of the little girl. Accidents happen all the time and to anyone. You know, being home with a child may help prevent an accident but unfortunately kids get hurt no matter how much we try to protect them. I believe the child is with God now and I also believe that God will ultimately be the One to judge Mike Tyson.

heartless people accusing the father for this child's death - WTF!?? it was an accident. a tragic accident. Just because you don't approve of this man's lifestyle, doesn't mean he isn't a good father. How do you know what kind of father this man is or was to that little girl? You should be ashamed of yourselves, knocking someone who is already down. The man just lost his daughter, have some respect and let him grieve.

Nobody is accusing Mike of being responsible for the childs death. What I am responding to is that this creatin does't want to know the details of his own daughters death because he may be forced to lay blame somewhere. My point is that if he has the need to "lay blame somewhere" he can start by looking at his history and lack of involvement in his kids life as a good starting point.
