That is the most awesome name- soulja boy. It is just so brilliant the way he took the proper way of saying soldier, and changed it to soulja. So creative. He should get a nobel prize as well.

Why is race always dragged up in these comments section? You wretches don't drag up the white race when it's about serial killers, or just killing a asian woman at an ivy league college, kids gunning down everyone they can find in their school, corporate criminals who ruin everyone in their company's lives.....etc. AOL should shut down it's comments section or atleast monitor the content! It is just a venue for racist inbred idiots to voice their degenerate opinions. Shame on AOL, and shame on you racist, hateful excuse for people.

and it never fails that their ignorant ascertaining is always met
with the rebuttal that they are 'racist'. Just because other people
don't like rap, hip-hop, or the culture, doesn't mean that they hate
all black people. I do seem to notice that no one really looked at
the situation as it really is, but made fun of things that they've
only seen on COPS. They have noooo idea what they're talking about!
Just society's magpies led around by the nose, never thinking for
themselves! It's nothing new man!
Well, I do not understand why in the world he would run away, but also do not understand why he would be charged with anything if he did nothing illegal. I was not aware that it is illegal to run from police when you have not done anything wrong. I think police are on a power trip sometimes. Get pissed if you don't kiss their badge. I was a prosecutor and worked closely with my chief of police in our little town--this would have been taken care of with a little kindly lecture, not any charges. I am white and do not understand why those who comment have to make this a racial issue.

America is the greatest RACIST nation in the world.
I am so glad that we have a forum like AOL to present our biggoted, racist views. AOL and most of it's racist subscribers never fail to let me down when it comes to these kind of stories. I can always count on some of you guys to show the world just how blatantly racist and ignorant we Americans can be when we want to be. WOW, ya just gotta love our redneck ways. Yipeee, Yahoooeee!!!!

I don't give a crap about hip hop. I don't really care about Soulja Boy either. The issue is ppl constantly having to bring up race with anything that any black person does. Did you even look at the comments on here Phoenix? Why the hell is Obama being brought up? That Soulja Boy should get a Nobel Peace Prize? That the cops should have shot first? Blah Blah. And you think that this isn't a racism issue? Take the damn rose colored glasses off your face.

This is ridiculous. Soulja Boy was raised like every other black in America. We are raised in ignorance. Hung up on our own "culture" made up of violence and a continuous cycle of keeping ourselves oppressed. I am black. I am also a Phd in Human Genetics. My parents did not let me get involved in the normal black "culture" of our day. They taught me to speak right, dress normal and make something more of myself. Most blacks are so hung up on being black that they are the actual racists and in doing so they oppress themselves. Let's make more of ourselves.

Jamal help me to understand. You said, Soulja Boy was raised like every other black in America. We are raised in ignorance. Hung up on violence and a continuous cylce of keeping ourselves oppressed. Then you turn around and say, Your parents did not let you get involved in the normal black "culture" of the day and so on. You seemed to unknowingly placed yourself in two different scenarios of how you were raised. You generalized how all blacks are raised, and you stated you are black. That would lead one to believe that all blacks are not raised in the same way. Ultimately that goes to show that having a Phd in Human Genetics means you may know a lot about Human Genetics but not necessarily about anything else.
AJA is a racist - he seems to not care for anyone who comments negatively about the role model black rapper running from the cops. Sounds like the definition of a racist.

It's an old cliché, but still relevant today!
IF you have NOTHING too hide, you have NO reason to run away! When you see ALL these thugs running from the police, they "might" be Innocent of what the police want too question them about, but their holding drugs/guns or have outstanding warrants. so they run, its as simple as that! Even on the reality cop shows were the camera in on the cops and they're on their best behavior, the Ghetto Rats still run, because they're guilty of SOMETHING and THAT'S why they're arrested. Money doesn't change mentality, he's a Hood Rat, fat wallet or not!
