Cage Owes Over $6M in Back Taxes

Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage now has the IRS after him.

A lien has been placed on the actor's real estate holdings because he owes $6 million in back taxes dating from 2007, PEOPLE reports.

The 'National Treasure' star also has another lien for over $350,000 in unpaid taxes dating from 2003 to 2005.

There has been no comment from the actor or his reps.

I'm a Nick Cage fan, but it tickles my heart to see liberal hollywood types get zapped by the IRS... Who do they think pays all of these taxes anyway?

You would think Nicholas Cage would be HAPPY to pay for the taxes passed by the Democrats that Hollyweird supports so enthusiastically.
Cage should have saved some of the tax break money passed by the Democrats (Clinton's Streisand amendment) when they exempted entertainers and athletes from the surcharge of people making more than $1million in a year.

its cracks me up that rich people who owe millions of money intaxes get away with it but some hard workingman who owes just afew thousand dollars gets fines and liens onhis home irs knocking on his door but the stars can go about their everyday life with out even a jail time

It ain't the liberal's bread and butter vote group, the "poor" folks who live on welfare, food stamps, wick and other forms of free money (free to them). Who do you think pays the taxes? Clearly it isn't Cage nor a lot of the people our President appointed to fill positions in his administration. Sure, Bush cut the taxes for people who pay them, That isn't the problem--it's the Democrats who don't pay their taxes. I would be happy if they just payed at the Bush level. That way the government would get something.
