'Glee' Cast Pulled from Macy's Parade?
By PopEater Staff Posted Oct 12th 2009 02:13PM
Looks like our favorite chorus members from 'Glee' have been dumped from Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. While there is still speculation, TMZ reports that Macy's invited the FOX cast, but when rival NBC (who airs the parade) found out, they told the department store to pull the plug. TMZ reached out to a rep for FOX who declined to comment.
When the 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy found out the news, he decided to take a verbal swipe at NBC... and the network's most famous comedian. "I completely understand NBC's position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float," he told EW.com.
'Glee' is a musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox. It focuses on a high school show choir, also known as a glee club, set within the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio.
The first season began airing on September 9, 2009. It stars Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays and Kevin McHale.
Watch the 'Glee' boys sing 'It's My Life.'

DON'T JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS. THIS SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER MADE UP CONTROVERSY TO ME. FOX FEEDS OFF OF STUFF LIKE THIS.

Hmmm, it leaves one to ponder if this is a political move. Fox is not a liberal slave media station, where as NBC is. Could it be just plain and simple profiling? I believe it is a very good chance.

This has nothing to do with jealousy. NBC is sponsoring the parade. Glee is on Fox. It's all about the money. NBC sees it as advertising for a show on Fox - it's competitor. That would be like me having a yard sale with signs up telling everyone where the other yard sales are.

Another reason (like we need more), not to shop at Macy's in Chicago.

The Macys store they're referring to is the flagship in New York, not Chicago.

I have to agree NBC is jealous and that sucks only because its on its rival station and that is not what Macy's parade is about. I like Glee because its from my hometown and it makes me wish that my glee club back in the day was like this one. YOU ROCK Glee!! Keep up the good work

Simply rediculous! I have hundreds of channels and often nothing to watch. I have a teenage daughter. We enjoy Glee. We enjoy MANY shows on NBC. Time to be friends and recognize the industry as a whole, all its accomplishments! I'd hate to think that I'd boycott NBC, but really! I thought this was America.

IT is not the America you grew up in.This is the NEW America under a NEW Regime..NBC is just following the White Houses cue in Discriminating and as someone else said Profiling against FOX. NBC is one of the most bigoted and prejudiced Networks out there. They are totally hard core Left Wing Wackos that HATE anyone that is not one of them. Have you ever seen any of their so caled news shows? They spew Hatred and bigotry towards others rather then reporting NEWS. Hope they die a quick death.

Wow, Coleen, you sound like quite the Fox News hating liberal sort, trying to quell the controversy with your propaganda as I see that you are.

It's true though. Speculation is causing a lot of people to freak out. It's just a show, it's just a parade, and it's just a tv network. I say freak out when you see NBC with the bloody knife in it's hand.
