'Glee' Cast Pulled from Macy's Parade?

Looks like our favorite chorus members from 'Glee' have been dumped from Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. While there is still speculation, TMZ reports that Macy's invited the FOX cast, but when rival NBC (who airs the parade) found out, they told the department store to pull the plug. TMZ reached out to a rep for FOX who declined to comment.

When the 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy found out the news, he decided to take a verbal swipe at NBC... and the network's most famous comedian. "I completely understand NBC's position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float," he told EW.com.

'Glee' is a musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox. It focuses on a high school show choir, also known as a glee club, set within the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio.

The first season began airing on September 9, 2009. It stars Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays and Kevin McHale.

NBC has been losing audience for years. They have no clue. They dropped all their 10pm weeknight shows for a lame version of the "Tonight Show" and gave the original to the unfunniest late night host EVER!!! They have sucked since "Friends" & "Will & Grace" have gone off the air. Get a clue NBC, you have cable stations beating you nightly.

Well... I'm a "Plus" sized woman and the one time I went into a Macy's store and asked for the plus sized women's department, I was literally made fun of by the sales person on staff by the way she informed me that they don't cater to women of my size. (She was about a zero; size and otherwise.)
So... I've never been into a Macy's since and never will, again.

This is lame and petty. I have watched this parade since I lived in NYC years ago. I will be boycotting not only the parade but Macys this year. Show them you think they're being small and petty..cut up your Macys card and send it to them..and tell them why. I just paid my account in full and closed my account.

This pisses you off that much?? Your going to do all that because a bunch of kids (who probably make more in one episode that you make all year)got thrown off the parade?

How is this political, Republican vs Democrat and not political as in NBC vs Fox?

Are you not aware of the TV war going on between the ultra-liberal faction at NBC and the ultra-conservative folks at Fox? They hate each other....so the Glee thing should have been expected. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me that whoever at Macy's that signed up Glee isn't already out of a job.

NBC demanding that the cast from "Glee," a Fox show, be removed from the NBC sponsored Macy's parade is a clear and open case of DDD -- devious discretionary discrimination. Where are Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the ACLU when you need them?

I watched the show Glee to see what it was all about and was shocked that it was supposed to be a high school glee club and it was just awful. They had an adult woman who joined the club who first showed the girls at the school how to steal then had sex with teen boys in the shower and then gave alcohol to a boy in school. I am not sure what audience they are targeting but it is not a show I am interested in seeing or a school I would want my kids to go to.

This isn't the first time a major league team ousted someone for the racial views. Marge Shote who owned a team (forgot which one) made a racial slur and she had to give up the team. Sports is one of the few places that people of all color come together and support their team. NFL doesn't need nor want someone who divides people. When he said the NFL looks like the "BLOODS AND CRIPES"(?) but without the weapons. Rush does see these players as successful educated men, he sees them as thugs. No one wants this low life anywhere near the NFL - i'm glad the players are speaking up.

If I was a cast member of the Fox Glee Club and was 'uninvited' to an NBC parade I'd be jumping with glee.

A gay man, who also dresses like a woman at AA meetings, said he wasn't attracted to me and it made my year! I also quit AA. I can stay sober without it.

As we all know, NBC has been making some very good decisions when it comes to what is profitable and good for ratings. They KNOW how to do it best....look at how well their networks are doing!! Golly! The best in the world! JUST JOKING>>>>>> Wasn't there a story that Murdoch wants to buy them? Gonna be cheap! Not worth much! Wouldn't it be funny that IF he bought them and they became even better or just as good as all his other media? They should take lessons from Fox...Will Obama be in the parade? I have never watched their parade..now I know why. I don't watch NBC anymore.. If they have a good show I won't know till another channel picks it up on reruns....I don't like the way they ruined Days of Our Lives...I used to love that show...and that is why I hate NBC...they are losers.

NBC is loser company. Their share of viewers is dropping like CD rates. Fox is so far ahead of them it isn't funny. Any broadcast company that would feature the likes of a self loathing, suck weasel like Keith Olbermann deserves what they get, bankruptcy!

Well I guess another tradition ended for my family due to politics and ignorance. When are the people of this country going to stand up and take back what is rightfully ours. How long are we going to sit back and let the government rule and try to run our lives. We cannot even enjoy a simple parade because of politcs now. When is this going to end?? Shame on Macy's for allowing themselves to be bullied around. If NBC wants to be childish over one simple float in a parade, then they should not even be allowd to air the parade. Why doesn't Macy's ask FOX to show the parade. Maybe then Macy's would be proud that their parade is being showed on a network that still stand for morals and values. GO FOX GO!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
