Brinkley, Ex Settle Nasty Custody Dispute

The nasty post-divorce battle between Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook seems to have been settled, as both sides reached an agreement over the terms of the settlement following both asking for the other to be jailed. A nasty statement from Brinkley's lawyer, however, might not make things go away that easy. Read It After the Jump!

Prior to the settlement, Cook demanded that Brinkley be jailed for trying to interfere with and "ruin" his relationship with his children. Brinkley then claimed Cook was in the wrong for talking about their case on talk shows and also letting his new girlfriend to spend time with their children.

Despite a settlement, there's still clearly bad blood between the two, as you will see in a statement released by Brinkley's attorney: "Ms. Brinkley is completely vindicated. The parties' settlement approved by the judge today does not grant any of the requests in Peter Cook's motion which dragged Ms. Brinkley back to court. Each and every one of Mr. Cook's vindictive requests including, among others, his request for Ms. Brinkley to undergo anger management, for the appointment of a parenting coordinator, and for the children's passports to be held by a third party, are not provided for in the document agreed to by both parties."

The Cook bashing continues, saying "he has staged a relentless smear campaign against Ms. Brinkley. Ms. Brinkley chose not to exercise her right to hold Mr. Cook in clear violation of their original confidentiality agreement until Ms. Brinkley was served this unfounded and unwarranted court action at her children's school holiday concert this past December. It was only at that time that she agreed to file her counterclaims which she hereby withdraws today in an effort to put this all behind her ... For the sake of the children, she is hopeful that Mr. Cook will cease his attacks on the children's mother."

The classy thing to do would have been to let it end quietly. Although this battle has ended, I'm guessing the war will rage on.

Sure seems to me like Cook cannot deal with an outcome he created and keeps on trying to harass Brinkley and consequently the kids. Good for Christie for standing up to him.

This guy is bitter because he lost his free ride to fame and fortune all because he couldn't keep it in his pants and then on top of that, he had sex with a child. He is a clear loser and won't shut up and go away. I see the attraction Kristy had for him as he is physically attractive but my God he has no character and obviously no means to support himself other than still trading off of her fame. Good ridddance to bad rubbish.

Cook you cheated on her and don't know why Cristy is angry. Not only that, she has to pay you for being a pig and to top it off she does'nt want her children around your girlfriends and you wonder why she is angry. I doubth that she needs anger management though that your way of saying that she cant't control her anger.
