Donald Trump's Famous Celebrity Duels

Academy Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton has joined the fight against Donald Trump who plans to build a multi-million dollar golf resort in Scotland. The star added her name to a 15,000-strong petition backing four residents on the Scottish coast who face possible eviction to make way for Trump's new property. Trump was granted permission to build in 2008, but Swinton refuses to let the Trump Organization "bully" the local residents. Trump fired back at Swinton (via TMZ). "Where was Tilda Swinton three years ago when everyone else was petitioning? She's a little late in the game don't you think?"

This won't be the first time Trump has fired back at celebrities and started a public feud. Take a look back at Trump's best verbal rumbles.

Martha Stewart
Trump and Stewart ended their friendship after both blamed each other for the failure of Stewart's 'Apprentice.' Trump went public saying, "Martha has to take responsibility for her own failures," (via MSNBC). Stewart took the high road and said, "I'm hurt and I'm really very upset at my longtime friend."

Rosie O'Donnell
After Trump gave Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance after becoming the center of a public scandal (which alleged that she engaged in drinking underage, tested positive for the use of cocaine, and kissed Miss Teen USA Katie Blair), Rosie O'Donnell put her foot down. She suggested Trump was acting like a "pimp" and "snake-oil salesman" for the way he handled the situation. In turn, Trump called O'Donnell a "big, fat pig" and "loser."

Barbara Walters
Walters and Trump tangoed in a war of words after the veteran journalist sided with O'Donnell, who criticized Trump's decision to give Tara Conner a second chance. Trump told the media that Walters was "off his list." Walters responded on 'The View' calling him a "poor, pathetic man." The two would up mending their friendship at Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky's wedding.

Carrie Prejean

In June, Donald Trump told TMZ that he gave the green light to fire Carrie Prejean because she refused to appear at around 30 events on behalf of Miss California USA. Trump added, "To me she was the sweetest thing. Everyone else -- she treated like s**t." Prejean responded, "What's behind this I think is a political debate."

Mike Tollin
According to TMZ, filmmaker Mike Tollin made a movie about the brief history of the United States Football League and decided to send along a copy to Trump, who owned a team in the USFL -- the New Jersey Generals -- until 1985. Tollin sent along a letter that said, "I'm guessing you won't love all of it, but I hope you appreciate that I've tried to be fair." Trump sent a hand-written letter back to Tollin: "Mike, A third rate documentary and extremely dishonest (as you know.) Best Wishes, Donald Trump... P.S. You are a loser."

Mark Cuban
Cuban restarted an old feud in late 2007 when Trump started taking pot-shots at one of Cuban's good buddies, Dan Rather. During an appearance on CNN's 'The Situation Room,' Trump had a lot to say about Rather's $70 million lawsuit against CBS for firing him. "Rather is a loser. I used to say whoever represents Dan does a great job because he always was in third place and had terrible ratings... I think he feels like a loser and that's what he is."

Cuban responded, "Donald Trump is a first class idiot, Donald Trump, you're an idiot." (via Access Hollywood.) "When you're so desperate to make a dollar, you have to put your name on everything and then you have to comment on everything because you know... you have to build everything off of denigrating somebody else," Cuban added.

Lindsay Lohan
Back in June 2007, Trump weighed in on Lindsay Lohan's DUI debacle in the NY Post, trying to add fuel to a new feud. His advice for the 'Mean Girls' star: "Find what you love doing, work hard, stay focused, get a new set of parents." Lohan did not respond with a comment, but we wish she had.

Trump is so so repoulsive gross. NO ONE likes this man he just keeps shoving himself like a hemmorid up our butts. NO one has a use for this Hill Billy Republican butt hole. He is so nasty picture this thing naked. WHAT IS IT?? He is a tranny mess wake up. He needs to induce others with coke to sleep with them who in their right mind would otherwise want him if not at his cost?

Slow news day, AOL? This is old news and boring old news at that. Time to either step up and pay for some new writers on staff or find another business. Anything to do with Trump is about as interesting as the whores that he's bedded.

Vanity Fair had an article on this a while back, IIRR. There is a great deal of opposition, even if the local authorities seem to have been dazzled by the Trump name and money. I visited close relatives in Scotland a few ago. It isn't just a matter of evicting current residents. Trump's project would destroy some of the most fragile and ecologically sensitive dunes in Scotland. He thinks he'll turn it into a luxury golf resort and get a turn at the British open. He's nuts. I love Scotland deeply but the last time I was there the weather was unusually excellent. It actually was sunny more than it rained and a few times I didn't have to wear a sweater or a jacket. I was there in August. Furthermore, Scotland hardly has a shortage of world-class golf courses (it might have something to do with the fact that we invented the game). British Open courses have held that position for many years and it is a very great honor. He claims it is to honor his Scottish mother. Find some other way, Donald.

You forgot to list how Trump humilliated the Venezuelen Miss Universe back in the 90's when she gained some weight after winning the title of Miss Universe. He was shown on tv with her at a gym and told her that if she did'nt lose the weight she was out yet he gave Miss Tara Connor a second chance even though she was using drugs. He also hates powerful woman.
