Garry Shandling: Plastic Surgery Victim?

Actor Garry Shandling appeared on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' on October 12 and not long after, Google surged with searches from viewers wondering if he'd recently gone under the knife. While some searched for botched surgery, others were just curious about how much his face had changed. We have to admit, he did look a little bloated and his face didn't really move, but we're leaving up to our faithful readers.

If Shandling did go under the knife, it is certainly not the star's first attempt at keeping the rolling years at bay. He had meddled with plastic surgery a few times even in the recent years.

He appeared on Letterman's late night show and discussed his fear of swine flu and how he stays healthy flying from New York to Los Angeles. Watch:

Shandling was the stars of 'The Larry Sanders Show' and will appear as Senator Stern in the upcoming 'Iron Man 2' film.

Tell Gary nothing will help!!! Yes, he does look bloated but he doesn't look like hes had plastic surgery on the picture on the right. If anything he looks better and younger in the before photo. If he recently had lipo on his neck and chin it might have caused some swelling. anyway, who cares??

Gary Shandling has definitely had some plastic surgery. I happened to see him on that stupid Bill Mahr(whatever his last name is) show on hbo and he has that stretched alien face that is usually typical of a plastic surgery face. When his mouth hardly moved when he spoke you can tell that the face has been altered. He is already an ugly man that kind of reminds me of a boiled egg. Now he looks like a fake boiled egg. LOL!. When are people going to realize that changing your face including lips by plastic surgery makes you look strange and non-human, almost alien. There are so many actors and actresses that look terrible now that used to look good before facial plastic surgery. On the other hand though I am a fan of breast plastic surgery.

I don't care much about Gary Shandling, but the only comments so far are 2 spams and someone saying spams are no good. So I thought one comment that was actually on topic might be appropriate. Gary looks old and flabby. If he did that to himself via surgery he should get a refund.

That's exactly what I thought. He certainly doesn't look as tragic as Mickey Rourke or Meg Ryan.

Given how good he looks in June, compared to how bad he looks now, it looks as though he could be on a corticosteroid such as prednisone. It DEFINITELY causes the bloating, and could contribute to the redness of his skin. It really doesn't look like plastic surgery to me (not that I'm an expert, though). I hope he is not in poor health.

He looks like he gained weight in his face, not had surgery on it. As for the redness of his complexion and lips, I think he was wind burned and chapped. I know when my son's lips become chapped they turn a bright red and swell up like what Gary's look like.

I agree! I hope this wasn't a case of plastic surgery... because what kind of procedures ADDS puffiness and years to the face? It's more likely that he just gained wait since the June photo.

Reena....I noticed it too that he looks better in the June photo and not the October one. Maybe the dates are wrong? I say he looked better in June also.

AS far as I am concerned..to each his/her own. I will admit that I have my days that if I had the cash and trusted the docs. I would consider it, but not for very long. Those days, I just walk away from the mirror for another day. I am almosst 70 nand not sure that I could stand any change in my life...LOL

Well I took the opposite track and trusted a famous doctor. I'm 70 and everyone guesses my age at 58. It was expensive and the recovery was an annoyance but I'm happy when I look in the mirror. Plus I probably extended my working life because I work in an industry that's youth oriented.
